  • A frame that’s fun and fully featured.
Color: AC Only - Classic Black
We wanted a frame that would allow us to save our granddaughters baby pictures. This one full filled our needs nicely. In addition to not requiring a subscription, it uploads pictures quickly, is easy to use and the display quality is terrific. It even plays short videos.

  • No motion detection. Video sounds low usually. 5-star customer service though!!
Color: AC Only - Classic Black
I ordered this (mainly) to remember my beloved soulmate and fur baby. I have lots and lots of photos and videos. I chose this frame mainly because of the ability to upload videos up to 5 minutes in length. The majority of digital frames limit this to 15-30 seconds. There is no remote-control device. The app does not control the frame either; its main purpose is for uploading videos/photos. The last photo shows the premium frame's stand (I returned the first frame after contacting PhotoSpring's customer support and upgraded to the premium frame). More on that in a moment. Setup is pretty straightforward. Some that are not tech savvy might need a little help. The frame supports thumb/flash drives and SD cards for added storage. The built-in storage will hold a LOT of videos and photos. Using the web-based utilities, it is super easy to add photos/videos to the frame. They upload very quickly that way. One can email them to the frame too. Friends and family can email them to your frame. Unlike some frames, this one supports numerous photos and videos being uploaded at the same time, or rather in the same session. I was not satisfied with the sound quality of the regular frame and contacted their customer service. These people (Charles and Dan) were 5-star! It was suggested that I upgrade to their premium frame. For another $25, I was upgraded to the premium frame, plus they paid to ship my regular frame to them, transferred my current videos/photos to the new one, and then shipped it back to me. This took about 1 week altogether. I'm still not completely thrilled with the sound, but I think it's partly because the speakers are in the back of the frame. I have it setting across the room (about 12 feet away and I am a little hard of hearing). The frame is made so that it can be detached from the main frame and passed around to guests or held in your hands. The frame is rechargeable and can be left detached. The premium frame offers controls for volume, etc., on the back, whereas the regular frame is all done via touchscreen. I did not notice a big problem with fingerprints due to the touchscreen. The photos and videos are vibrant. The cord is long enough for the most uses. The premium frame will need an adapter since the power cord is USB on the end that does not plug into the frame. There're several settings to allow how you want to have videos display (auto play with sound, etc.). I do sort of wish it had motion sensing so it would turn off when I am not in the room or when there is no motion. It can be set to play on a schedule. This is also done via touchscreen. I have had several digital frames, as well as my iPhone, that supposedly rotate pictures so that you don't see the same ones over and over again. None, including this one, seem to be great at having an algorithm that ensures that you don't have a bunch of repeats in what you see. I have over 600 photos/videos on this frame right now and see the same ones over and over a whole lot throughout the day, without seeing a lot of the others. But such has been my experience with all of these types of frames so far. I gave this 5 stars. It is probably a 4.5-star frame, but the outstanding customer service bumped it up for me. ... show more

  • Frame is great! But 10" is too small.
Color: AC Only - Classic Black
My only real complaint, which is not really the frame's fault, is that PhotoSpring doesn't make larger frames. I bought this as a gift for my mother so family could send her pictures. I love the frame itself but after setting it up, we decided that 10" is too small for where we want to set it. Mom can barely see any details in pictures. So sadly, I'm returning this to get a bigger frame. Regarding the frame itself, this was one of the 3 frames that filled my primary requirements. 1. Still shows photos already loaded onto it if the internet goes out. 2. Doesn't require a subscription. 3. Is plug-in and not battery powered. 4. More of a nice to have, but the interface for remotely sending pictures doesn’t suck. It has a "Gift" setup to allow preloading pictures before giving it to someone else. For sending pictures to the frame there are two options. 1) You can set up an email address that you can give to anyone. 2) Use the PhotoSpring mobile app or website. The app and website are essentially the same. The website is good if you want to upload from a computer instead a phone/tablet. You can send multiple pictures in a single email, but email technology itself has a maximum size limit and everybody's email service has a different limit. The main advantage to the app and website is that it allows you to upload unlimited pictures at once. The app and website also allow creating albums (see more below). With the app and website, family or friends can set up their own PhotoSpring accounts and you can share the frame with them for that benefit of unlimited uploads at once. Or they can use the email address. The frame has a nice touch screen which allows you to change some settings and manage/delete pictures. You can set a scheduled on/off time, though there is not a motion sensor. You can set up albums. When uploading via the app or website, you can create an album to group photos together. Then in the frame itself, you can set up a schedule to show different albums at different times. Here are my cons, but they are far outweighed, to me, by the positives. There is no ability to remotely manage or delete pictures on the frame. This can only be done from the frame itself. This would be a nice feature to have, but the frames I've seen that do allow this feature also fail one or both of my first two requirements above (internet or subscription). No ability to sync with cloud storage. But this isn't important to me, and again, most of the frames I've seen that allow this fail one or both of my first two requirements. Although there is a "random" option to show pictures in random order, it is a one-time random sort, and then it shows them in that same order over and over. You can randomize it again manually to get a new order, but you have to do that manually. For albums, if you choose to use them, the only way to display those is on a set schedule. You specify a start time and end time for each album. I wish it had an option to either; Simply specify an album order and let the frame run through an entire album, then the entire next album in the order, etc., then loop back. Or randomize the entire album order. Because of these limitations, we chose not to use the album feature and just show all pictures randomly. ... show more
