Works great on lighter fish finders. Does not hold up my Hexix 9. It falls down on its own rotating on the lowest fixed ball. I'm 6'2" 190 lbs, and I tighten it as hard as I can. I had to velcro stap the to for it to hold. It's probably only at a 20 degree angle.

As you will see in other reviews, this mount works for multiple types of fish finders. While I do fish, I did not get this for my fish finder. After learning about the versatility of RAM mounts in the fishing world, I began using them for other purposes. I mounted iPad holders in my truck and Jeep. I used B-size Ram mounts. The Jeep mount is perfect due to the smaller interior. It does not shake. The mount in my truck bounces due to the length of the B-size arms in use. So, I figured I would give this a try since it is a C-size mount. It is so much better! No shaking like the B-size mount. The AMPS Plate fit perfectly. I screwed the Universal Mounting Plate to my custom console in my truck. I own a lot of Ram products. This mount is just as reliable. For the adjustability this kit brings to my truck, it is totally worth the price ($59.99 at time of review).
