  • Just what I wanted
Works good. Gets all the oil out of the container. Others I’ve used left over a gallon in the container, which defeated the purpose of having a pump instead of pouring the oil from the container.

  • great quality
I like this style over the up and down pump, great quality, and value. I use it for 10w30 oil, and it flows very well

  • Mostly Plastic
Mostly plastic fuel pump, not expecting it to last long but for the price point its not terrible. Moves a fair amount with the winding so the pumping effect works pretty well. Fit and finish is decent but like most things that come from oversees we will see how it holds up to use.

  • Lightweight Oil Pump for Drums
At first I was skeptical about the aluminum build but it was actually a great feature. Normally these are made of steel but the aluminum made it a breeze to install. It’s also very high quality for the price they’re asking for this pump. The threads were perfect and each piece connected without issues or cross threading. The included bung collar fit my 55g drum of 0W20 oil with ease, and pumped immediately using the self priming feature. I was able to pump 5 gallons of oil in about 25 seconds using this pump but when I attached my drill (at low speeds) to the handle screw It was like having an automatic pump. You do get a little bit of leakage from the pump but if you just use the plastic accordion tube and face it up, it will keep it from dripping. I’m very satisfied with the function of this pump. ... show more

  • Works, but quality is lacking
Pros: - The pump works - Self primes every time - Fast flow rate - Inlet tubes long enough to reach bottom of standard 55 gallon drum - Included Teflon thread tape Cons: - Instructions on box almost indecipherable - Materials do not instill long term confidence - Threads at every joint were hard to get started - Discharge tube very low quality and too short - Discharge tube pipe clamp barely works, cannot tighten enough to prevent leakage on first flow - Clamp for the barrel bung adapter cannot be tightened enough to keep the tube from spinning even with the included 4 washers (!?) - Same price and quality as found at your local import freight store where it could be easier to return if there were issues ... show more

  • Cheap and broke before use
Collar securing the pump from turning broke before it was even tight.

  • Works great
The first thing that caught my attention was the pump's durable aluminum construction. It's clear that the manufacturer has prioritized durability and reliability, using high-quality materials that can withstand the demands of heavy-duty use. The pump's lightweight yet rugged design makes it easy to maneuver and transport, reducing fatigue and increasing productivity. Operating the pump is a breeze, thanks to its intuitive design. The ergonomic handle and smooth-rolling wheels make it easy to move around, while the simple, one-handed operation allows for effortless fluid transfer. I was impressed by how little effort was required to pump liquids, even when dealing with thick or viscous substances. Overall was a great experience with this pump! ... show more

  • Well, I like it.
No bones about it though, this thing is CHEAP! Don't even think about using it on a jobsite or for your work except in a pinch or as a spare. It won't hold up. I will only use it occasionally for transferring mainly diesel and maybe some oil or gas once in a while so it should be fine for me for years. If I do run gasoline through it, I will run some oil afterwords to lube it back up. You might even get away with pumping water (it will be nasty water!) once in a while if again, you run oil through it immediately afterwards. Everyone should have a 55 gal. transfer pump! Even amateurs like me! The tubes are thin, thin aluminum but still pretty hard and very rigid. Don't bang it around though! The box shows a red plastic bung hole threaded fitting but they have upgraded it to some kind of metal: aluminum? pot metal? I dunno. It’s painted grey. But they made a mistake in its design where there's not enough clearance for fingers with the wing nut that tightens the fitting on the tubing. (mine does actually tighten down on the tube) They solved the problem by stacking a bunch of washers on the bolt. It's funky but it works. I added a lock washer too. I put another lock washer on the handle bolt… Heh. Sounds like it has a rubber impeller and pumps a lot of air both forward and reverse. That may wear out sooner than later but they are easily replaced. Unfortunately, I don't have any oil or diesel at the moment to test it out on, but based on the large volume of air that comes out, it should work fine. Other reviewers have confirmed its voluminous function. It is self-priming too! That accordion tube that attaches to the outlet stretches from 9" to 22" long. You won't do that very many times though, because it's really, really cheap. But you can run right down to the hardware store and get some 1" replacement tubing of any length you like that will be 100 times more durable. So, no biggie there either. The manual is literally a joke. I had a good laugh! I've seen some bad Chinese translations but this one is the WINNER! "Main engine pump (pump part) Lian Ba hand's axis side faces on, Placed in the plane." It continues on similarly (on the side of the box only) describing "fixed straw's" and "root canals". Luckily, it's very simple and anyone with half a brain can figure out how to put it together- with the occasional "oh damn, that part should have gone on first!". So, it functions fine and should last someone like me for years. I'd buy it again. Cheers! ... show more
