I purchased this alternator for my 2005 Mazda 3 (2.3L) when my original one finally gave out after years of use. After doing quite a bit of research on compatibility and pricing, I decided on this Youxmoto alternator, and it has worked out perfectly so far. First of all, fitment was spot on. This alternator was designed to fit my Mazda 3 (non-Mazdaspeed version), and installation was straightforward for someone with basic mechanical knowledge and the right tools. Everything lined up correctly — mounting points, pulley size, and electrical connections all matched the original part. This made the swap stress-free, which I really appreciated. Once installed, the alternator worked flawlessly right away. Voltage output has been stable (between 13.8-14.4V as expected), and it has been keeping the battery charged with no issues, even with accessories like headlights and AC running at the same time. The unit runs quietly, and I’ve noticed no whining, grinding, or bearing noises whatsoever — which is a good sign of quality manufacturing. For those doing DIY installation, a few tips: make sure to disconnect the negative battery terminal before starting, as alternator replacement involves working with electrical components and belts. Bought this for 2007 Mazda 3. Install wasn’t too bad and after a few months there haven’t been any issues.
