It was a perfect fit. I don't see why ppl say it wasn't..... Once I got everything hooked up. I cranked my truck and the noise was gone.... I feel like this alternator replacement has also given my power steering more turning easement . Like the one alternator was making the drive belt drag at some point

Send to be running well, just installed it 5/23/25. The upper mounts did not fit the old mounting space for a 2003 Ram 1500 gas, 5.7l, but I used a nut as a washer to take up the slack. It's smaller than my old alternator. No noise. Seems like a good value for the money, although I feel guilty just throwing away the core. Easy to install, took about 30 minutes. I'll be sure to update the review if anything fails.
