The media could not be loaded. Just tried these steel leaf scoops on my leaf-covered lawn and they've been quite the game-changer. The size is impressive, scoops up way more leaves than my old rake in one go. That rust-proof steel feels sturdy, doesn't bend or flex even when I'm tackling big piles. The rubber handles are a nice touch, no more blisters after a long raking session. Being able to hang them up for storage is handy, keeps my garage tidier. Now for the slightly less raked bits - while they're effective, they can be a bit unwieldy if you've got smaller hands. The steel edges are sharp, gotta be careful not to scrape the grass. They're great for leaves but struggle with wet, matted grass clippings. The weight is good for durability but can get tiring after extended use. If you're looking to speed up your fall yard cleanup or just want to save your back from endless raking, these scoops could be worth a grab. They've definitely cut down my leaf-clearing time, even if they're not quite as precise as a traditional rake. Great for larger yards or anyone with lots of trees. Makes picking up leaves so much easier

The media could not be loaded. What do I like about this yard tool?: I like that it is made from metal & not plastic. Alot of plastic items that I've used tend to break not only from use but where I live, in the dry desert climate, the plastic tends to dry out & that causes breakage. I like the spacing of the tines of the rake leaf - they are not too close -- allowing pebbles & small rocks to fall through & not so far that leaves will fall through. A scoop that is solid in the body, won't work for me as it will scoop up everything, as described below. How do I use these?: I use these rakes as an additional tool to help me clean up my yard from WEEDS. Like I said I reside in a desert area, I have no grass - just plain natural dirt with pebbles,stones,etc - when I chop weeds & rake them up, I get alot of "passengers" along with the weeds, mainly pebbles & stones. That's where these rakes come in, I just finished working on a majority of my front yard & this time I was successful in keeping out a lot of the pebbles & stones - these rakes helped me achieve that end. I can't comment on durability as I've just received these. Item was received without damage to the product. As for ease of use, no problem scooping & dropping items into yard bin - but I wasn't consistently doing that action, I put the rakes down & did other things in between scooping. I also do yard work in segments, as it is not something that I like to do,lol.

They work really well but like others said the straps cut into wrists. They are a like awkward at first but they help out.

Picks up my shrub cuttings much better than I expected. Excellently in fact. And much better than my dark green plastic ones that have the wavy edges at the bottom. It’s extremely sturdy so I expect it’ll actually last unlike my plastic ones that are breaking off one piece at a time around the handle areas. However, I agree with other reviewers that this hurts my wrists. By the fourth time I went to pick up a pile of bougainvillea trimmings, the bones on top of my wrists at the outer top edges started to hurt quite a bit. I read another reviewer rigged up some cushioning which I’ll try to do too. Otherwise, I’ll have to seriously parse out cleaning up after I go thru trimming my hedge. I still solidly recommend this product compared to all others I currently see on the market but if you have delicate wrists or bruise easily such as from blood thinners for example, you should pass on these. As someone with a familiarity with manufacturing, I do see why the ergonomics are bad in the handle area. The metal bars at the top against which your wrists rest should be angled but due to the angled tines, it would make a L and R scoop necessary and increase the necessary packaging volume plus risk more shipping damage. But it would also make these the perfect scoops. The metal is too thick to bend and would damage the connecting handle and wrist stabilizer pieces. I was tempted to consider trying. Wish I did metal work.
