This product is cheaply made and the glue is defective. I would not recommend anyone to buy this item, and instead pay a little extra to get the instrument repaired by a technician.

The instructions were a little hard to follow and I had difficulty getting the glue out of the tube. I ended up using some glue from another source. But the cork is on it’s on tight and my horn sounds great. I would probably buy again.

Best price for cork replacement on Amazon. Have used one so far and it is holding up very well though I admit I don't use my horn too often. Will get this again. Skip the weird silicone ones and just go with cork.

I purchased this when my daughter's neck cork broke into pieces days before a band trip. We did not have time to get it professionally fixed so I bought this and crossed my fingers that it would be easy enough to do ourselves and work well. It was perfect!

    • Works but needs refinement

I was able to recork my alto sax on the 2nd try after ruining the first cork trying to cut the end on a bevel. But, I did practice several times on the ruined piece and then was able to cut the bevel on the 2nd piece as required. Still, it is a tedious procedure at best. It would be GREAT if the cork pieces were supplied with the bevel already cut. Secondly, the contact glue suppliied comes in a tube with a very slim needle type tip dispenser. I had to cut that off in order to get the correct quantity of glue to come out. Overall, the job was done and it seems to look and work okay; time will tell how durable the job is. ... show more
