For me, the hardest part of deciding whether or not to buy this fountain, was trying to figure out how big it would actually be. Yes, the manufacture does give measurements, but I just couldn’t picture it in my room next to furniture. I didn’t want it to be too big, or overpower the room, and I didn’t want it to be too small, and fade into the room. I’m so glad I decided on this one! As you can see, I decided to use mine inside my house, in my plant room. I think it is the perfect size. The water sounds are rather loud, but that’s what I wanted. An added benefit is that it humidifies the room. I also put MiracleGro light bulbs (the LED ones that don’t get to hot) in my ceiling fans. I have plants everywhere in this room. Without exception, everyone who walks in here says they can literally feel the stress draining from their body. It’s like being outside while you’re inside. With winter coming and shorter days, the grow lights will help or should help with vitamin D production. Overall, I could not be happier with this purchase. A couple of important things to note—use the algae inhibitor shown, or one of your choice. The one I use takes one drop per gallon of water, added every week. If you don’t use the algae inhibitor, you will have algae. Your water will turn white and it will stink. Another important thing to think about is if you use tapwater, you will have buildup in your pump. I strongly recommend buying distilled water. This fountain takes 15 gallons of distilled water. I add a gallon or two of water every week. Also, since the water is running so fast, it has a tendency to splash. I keep a plant that likes water right next to it to keep the water from splashing on the floor. ... show more

    • It's way bigger than it looks
The media could not be loaded. It's gonna be a year in May and it's perfect. It's just a bit bigger than it looks in the pictures.
