The PEG 5600 pump is supplied with an adapter that fits 1-1/2" & 2" hose & also has a threaded connection. Saved a trip to the hardware store. It's also supplied with a mesh bag to prevent large debris from entering the suction. Nice. The pump output is what I expected. The pump is a little smaller physically than what I envisioned. The manual said to install the enclosed rubber washer between the adapter & the pump outlet. There was not a rubber washer included. I made my own. Not a big deal. The manual also specifies priming the pump prior to operating but does not have any detail for priming. When this style pump is immersed in water, priming should not be necessary as the surrounding water fills the pumping chamber naturally. Otherwise, a nice pump.
