The media could not be loaded. I loved the look of this fountain and bought a different fountain I loved from the same maker previously, but I wanted something solar powered. I bought a solar pump kit separately and found it very easy to replace the pump that comes with this unit and swap it for the solar pump. I'm not rating 5 stars first because the whole thing is prone to rust, even though I used a sealer for metal when I first set it up. Any nook or cranny that didn't get full coverage is rusting. Second reason is that the bird beaks often get stuck in an open or closed position with water streaming or leaking out, instead of opening and closing off and on. Finally, the open style of the basic means stuff like dead leaves drop into the and because there isn't anything shielding the pump from the rest of the basin, it can get clogged easily. You could probably put an upside down flower pot or something over the pump to shield it, but it would show. Anyway, I still love this fountain, even with the quirks. Fun and funny. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This fountain will be small enough to sit on the corner of a wide porch railing so I can see it from the kitchen window but I was pleasantly surprised by it also being a little bit bigger than I had envisioned. It came exactly on time and in perfect condition. Attaching the water hoses to the legs took a minute for an old lady like me, but then it was easy to position the pump in the tub, adjust the water flow, put the screen in the tub and fill with about 2 gallons of water. The pump runs quietly and seems big enough for the job. I hope it'll last a good long while -- I think its charming. Let me add that, upon reading the suggestion in the instructions, I sprayed it on all surfaces x3 with acrylic sealant which took an extra day for set-up but must've been worthwhile -- only one small rusty spot on the screen after a couple weeks. ... show more

My husband got this for my birthday to enjoy in my garden. It's very fun and unique, but came with a couple of problems. Nothing major by any means. First, the crow with the round hat has two right wings! So one was put on backwards and his feathers face forward instead of back. A quality control issue. Second, the wash basin leaks. Again, nothing major but inconvenient. It's leaking thru the seam in front. Hubs is going to run a bead of silicone to stop that. Third, the round hat crow is the one with the intermittent stream and his bill clicks real hard when it closes making a clacking sound. Kind of overwhelms the sound of the water. When examined closely it appears that the beak had a bend in it. A pair of pliers later and he's much quieter. And last, the splash screen arrived with a hole in it. After 3 days in water it's starting to rust. Other than these couple of quality control issues, I love my silly crows!! ... show more

Every old crow thinks hers is blackest! Alpine Corporation must have had this idiom in mind when they made this table water fountain. It's absolutely darling! I can't get enough of it and can't wait to show mine off. I can't wait for company to arrive to see mine out in my garden this Mother's Day. It is going to be the highlight for sure. I am hoping I can come back and add a photo to my review soon. I had one tiny problem with the pump but it was quickly rectified when I phoned Alpine customer service. They were on it in minutes. I'm glad I made that call instead of trying to package up the whole thing and trying to explain to Amazon. This was a super easy and stress free fix! If you do need help you must look up Alpine Corporation yourself as Amazon has the wrong number listed. They have an Alpine Industry listed and that is a complete wrong company and number. Alpine Industry is in California folks.. so google the number there. They are a great company with fantastic customer service. ... show more

This is so cute.. however the crows stopped spitting water, the pump quit running and the base leaked. We put leak stop to hold water, tried to have water flow through beaks to no avail and unplugged the pump. Kept in garden because so cute.. wish it would work

I wanted something whimsical for my front porch. This is exactly what I wanted. It is so cute. Definitely glad I bought it. Customer service was great! *UPDATE: I still love these birds, but they are hard to keep clean and continue to rust. I have to change the water every other week to have clear water run through it. At first we thought it was the basin and saw it was rusting around the feet, so we spray painted it with waterproofing. It seemed to do the trick, but after a week it started to rust again. Now I am finding it is coming from the inside of the bird and noticed the inside of the beak is rusty. I don't know what to do. It states in the description "DURABLE: Tin metal construction is rust and weather resistant to keep your outdoor fountain looking new over time", but this is not true. I just cleaned it out for the 5th time this year. I don't know what else to do other that maybe use it to plant artificial plants. Anyone have any suggestions, please let me know. I bought it in May 2022. It is out of warranty. I have only used it during the summer months and it is on a covered front porch not exposed to rain or any other elements. So frustrated. ... show more

My first fountain was defective. The basin leaked. It was apparent that a repair was attempted as there was a rubbery substance inside where the leak was coming from. The only reason I’m giving a 5 star review is because customer service from Alpine was great. Instead of having to pay postage to mail it back to them, they had me send a video clip of the dripping leak from the basin. They sent a replacement right away. The second one worked perfectly. It’s kind of cheaply made, so I’m not sure it will hold for long, but the price was much better than the other whimsical fountains like this.
