I have another unit with this brand engine and I like it. Starts easy and nice power. I also like the gravity feed fuel system cause you can shut off the fuel and let it burn the fuel out of the carburetor so it won't sludge it up.

This was a direct replacement for a 30 year old Briggs and Stratton 5 hp motor. The reverse drive belt even bolted up to it. Starts easy and runs great.

    • Engine is great but it's not a standard clone engine so no replacement parts!
I liked the engine and planned on doing a full video review at Kentucky Fried Fixes on YouTube, but everything inside these is different from the standard clone engines. None of the gaskets or internal parts will interchange and I've not found any replacement parts available as of yet. It's a completely different design from any of the other Honda clone engines. Don't get me wrong, I do like it, big bore, short stroke, but there are no aftermarket performance parts available and sooner or later it's going to need some regular replacement parts. When that day arrives, what then? Boat anchor? 4 stars for the lack of replacement parts. I wouldn't recommend this one for that reason. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Installed the 7hp Alpha on my Craftsman tiller model #247/299342 with little effort and it works great. Purchased pulley 3/4”x2.55” #AK25-3/4 for the belt drive and four 3/8”x2” hex bolt & nuts for mounting. Starts right up with choke but be careful to return choke to off. Easy pull to start. Already tilled up my garden spot for winter groceries. ... show more

I put this on a wood splitter and have just finished splitting two and half cords of Juniper. It is very fuel efficient, starts right up, and is fairly quiet. I am very pleased so far. Time will tell, but it looks good so far.

Bought one to replace a 3 hp engine on a mini bike . Engine is very fast and plenty of torque however after less than 3 tanks of gas through it it will not run for more than a minute . I didn’t wanna hassle with returning bought a second identical engine that will not start what so ever . I’ve used many predator 212 engines which are cheaper and much more reliabale with just a little less power . ... show more

This bolted right up to the frame of my super bronco cr rototiller, and actually works better than the original motor which was garbage. Starts with one pull, is not hard to pull, and has a gas shut off feature so when going into storage just shut off the gas and let it run out, the carb then stays clean and is ready for next year.
