This bedframe with bookcase represents a great value. The metal is what sets this unit apart, along with the nicely finished MDF boards. First, the downside. It took me about 7 1/2 hours to put this thing together. I knew what I was in for, knowing that I would have to build a bookcase, bedframe and drawers. Get yourself something to drink and make yourself comfortable on the floor, it's going to be a little while. Don't get intimidated by all the parts, they're well organized and labeled. The whole unit comes in one box, prone to damage because of its weight, over 100 pounds, but I was lucky. Parts and instructions are clear, but take your time, look everything over, keep your work area neat and clean. The supplied screwdriver is too small to get any leverage during assembly, get yourself a bigger flat head and phillips screwdriver. I would not suggest using a power tool on this. One slip and you'll go through the MDF boards. The bedframe is stout, with 12 slats and one support going up the middle. Nice. Very quiet. The wood and metal frame looks fabulous and many times what it cost. The drawers roll on casters and are not that structured, but it's great to have drawers to store clothes anyways. All in all, if you can get through everything, you will be happy with the end result. I noticed no off gassing of the MDF material, so no fumes to deal with. My mattress is held secure inside the slightly recessed bedframe. I would have loved a bookcase with some bigger shelves, but its nice to be able to put my reading glassed and remote somewhere at the end of a day. If you ever need to move, I would suggest separating the drawers, bedframe and bookcase, wrapping them in plastic wrap. All in all, remarkable value in an age where "real" furniture just costs too much.

I bought this bed for my 10 year old son. The bed arrived quickly. When I went to assemble it, all the hardware and instructions were missing. Very disappointed at the moment. Got a hold of the seller through Amazon, they responded in less than 24 hours, and agreed to ship out the missing parts. About 5 days later all the parts were there. I give them credit they fixed the issue in a timely manner, although a little annoying to not have a bed for my son for about a week. Now the bed itself, was easy to assemble, seems very sturdy, I think it should last a long time, very good looking. Great value. It's sturdier than a very expensive bed I have in my house. Glad it is metal framed! The bed I give 5 stars, the seller I even give 5 stars, overall 4 stars though for missing the parts.

Likes: It looks very nice when all put together and while it took me 7-8 hours to assemble alone (you will need a second person at one point but not for 99% of the assembly), the assembly is not difficult, just a lot of parts! Seems pretty sturdy overall. I like that the drawers just roll in and out from under the bed and are not on a track. It makes it super easy to take them all the way out to see what is in there and get items out. No box spring needed!! Dislikes: Biggest is that the LED strip did not work at all and the app for it is junk. I plugged and unplugged, tested the USB ports, and the app would not work at all. Thank goodness I did not stick it on until I tested it. Some parts were mislabeled. The cuts on the back board were not cut out properly. Some of the screws that were needed were in an entirely different bag!!! At least I found them in the end. The instructions did not tell you that when pushing in the drawers, the extra screw you screw in hooks to the bed frame to help the drawer stay in place!! Glad I stumbled across this little trick:)

We are in our seventies and low on strength. It took us three days to assemble the king bed. (A lot of that is due to time spent moving furniture around to have a work space in our small living room and disassembling the old bed.) Also, the instructions were a bit hard to decipher in spots. But the finished product is fabulous! The parts were all included and no damage at all. It looks great and is not noisy. We are so happy to have a lower bed without box springs. We kept the uprights in the bookcase section but eliminated the middle shelves so those shelves could handle taller objects. The dark engineered wood looks great, the connections are solid. We are very pleased.

This bed just came in today. It took 2 disabled adults about 3 and a half hours to build. The instructions were very clear except that some of the materials were mislabeled, but we were able to figure out what went where by the pictures in the instructions. The materials are of good quality, but it could come with better tools, we found it easier to just use our own screwdriver and allan wrench for assembly. The most time consuming part was definitely the end, assembling the 4 drawers that go under the bed, one of their components wasn't marked clearly and the directions were a little complicated but we managed to get them together in about an hour. Overall my spouse and I are both loving this bed. My spouse has broken 2 boxsprings in the last 4 years so this bed having metal slats was a major selling point. I'd recommend this bed to anyone, it's about the same quality as something from our local furniture store and less than half the cost. Great investment.
