UPDATE JULY 24th: I have been stuck on finalizing a real assessment not due to power station itself, but due to getting the right extension cable so I can test this unit's ability to be powered by solar. So, in the meantime, without getting that cable I still have to wait to determine if it is 5-stars are not. But here 's the good. A month later, the replacement I was sent, is holding full power although not turned on for a couple of weeks. It also is the only 'practical' small form power station I have in that it is the only of 3 I own that is able to power my dorm refrigerator for hours with a straight household plug right into 1 of its ac sockets. My smaller jackery and blueitti can't do that, and are just good for running lights and fans. So that makes it a winner right there for me as my primary motive was preserve my food during what's been too many power outages the last year by my local power company's failure to keep maintaining trees trimmed along the power lines as it used to, which is making power losses each month lasting up to 7 hours. At today's food prices that can equate to hundreds of dollars routinely loss in food each month from the outages long enough to ruin food in small dorm fridges. I was finding anything longer than 3 hours would result in spoiled foods. Since it seems to be the pattern of the future for companies to raise prices while lowering services resulting in increased unreliability that cause needless hardships, I realized after the 8th time in a row in 8 months I needed to invest in a power station that could minimally power my dorm fridge for 8 hours, which would be the worse case, even though, ideally, would be great to even do so for days for the longer outages of hurricanes. I am pleased to say that, so far, this unit is able to power my ac insignia refrigerator that pulls around 100 w to start and then operates around 60 w inbetween, keeping light on and temp to what I set it so no more, right now, fear of power going out, and that's great peace of mind. Test will see how it lasts, will it still be working 6 months from now, a year from now. It takes a measure of responsibility to keep track of having to charge it at least @ 3 months if not used, so battery doesn't die. I will update here when I finally get solar cable and run tests if it can really do bypass and keep going on solar. However, right now the issue I find is that there is a problem finding extension cables for solar panel IF you buy their solar panels which I did, in that you need an extension that has MC4 to Anderson Cable which is not easy to find if you want it pre-made. I am not into trying to crimp my own connectors as it can be more challenging than realized. The unit comes with a MC4 to Anderson Cable but is too short. I need to be able to charge the unit without moving it, through a receptable I put in the wall just to pass power cords through to outside. Longest cable I could find premade is 20 feet and not cheap, nearly $50. I had wanted to have 50 ft but couldn't find that, so beware that is the one issue finding that the connectors are not the more popular ones, and so do not have a lot of choices for more competitive prices for extension cords. However, I got this unit for it's power and affordability due to its lesser known brand, and so am realizing there are tradeoffs, but really am favoring this one over the bluetti 300w I have and the jackery because it is the workhorse that shortly will pay for itself by protecting me from further food losses by the new lower-standards local power company's ways. The only complaint of this unit is it is too heavy, far more than I realized, and that required me to invest in some extension cords to set up next to it the power strips where I now keep my small fridge and mini freezer plugged into, so all I have to do in a power outage is pull out the plugs of the fridge and just plug it into the ALLWEI right next to it so my food is protected. Also found it is able to practically run a 500w hotplate sold here on amazon that will boil water and let me cook rice, etc and still keep running my fridge so if the power goes out right before I was set to eat, I have an alternate means to cook and these 3-7 hours local outages no longer are so devastating, but inconvenient instead. Now this is plain and simple language, not technical, that another person wondering the same can understand, and not in technie-speak wattage mathematical calculations that does not translate to reality. I am talking about ac plug in dorm fridges and not the more practicial dc plugged portable fridges as I want this to power what I have, and not have to invest in another kind of fridge, as for me this is strictly power outage backup to use the ALLWEI 1200W, but it has taught me you do need a certain amount of w as this does provide in order to power realistically small appliances in reality, and this replacement power station I got is living up to it. Unfortunately, it looks like it may take me couple months to get the solar cable thing sorted out and test it, but, God willing, will come back to post my experience with that, from a woman's point of view, which I can tell you I might have gotten a different panel as what I have from ALLWEI is their 200 w solar that is said to be 17 lbs, but let me tell you, 17 lb in a big shape is just plain heavy! So, ladies, I will let you know how that goes for me as it all boils down to being able to make use to these things when outages happen. I have sitting collecting rust, a gas/diesel generator that turned out to be a pipe dream due to all the impossible requirements to keep it working more than 4 hours on each tank that has the power to run even my wall ac, but in the real world was too hard to keep fuel and also do the maintenance. So far, this unit, though I can't practically move it, has solved issues of having to deal with outdoor weather in that it is safe to have in doors because it is a battery, and it is working, but will I be able to practically setup/take down it's solar panel to run it be useful for days of power outages? Big question, but would I buy it again? Yes, I would despite the difficulty of getting a bad unit, because it has so far proved able to power my fridge in reality and has given me the bonus of no longer dreading when all electrical suddenly stops no cause whatsoever, for the 3rd or 5th time in a month, without my having to go outside or do ANYTHING physical more than pulling a plug in easy reach and inserting that into the power station right there. All the same I am reserved because this just lacks history, no customer history going into more than a year, but I have had unknown brands that are winners over the known brands, and so far looking good. UPDATE JUNE 25th: I got replacement from the company & as well I sent back defective. My initial test is quasi good and still in middle of testing the replacement, a process taking longer than expected because am finding it challenging to locate a solar cable extension for their ALLWEI 200W solar panel I also got same time to connect with the replacement unit I need to keep indoors due to its heavy weight. Instructions do not give info how to extend, what cables to use, and that it uses a less-common M20 plug is part of the challenge. The quasi good is due to the fact on my testing if it runs my dorm fridge the display keeps jumping around in the hours left & not sure if issue with display but will compare to if same happening with my jackery. Once I find what extension will let me connect to the solar panels outdoors, will post an update, for as you know, it isn't about getting a replacement that works out of the box, but one that stll works days later, and does what it claims to do stably. I am not looking for anything more than stated stats. Strong people might not find it an issue to carry out a 25 lb unit for solar charging, but other people might only be able to use such a power station if they had a way to keep it inside or where needed an without having to move it, plug it to solar panels, and that requires cables long enough, and what comes with their brand solar panels is a cable 6.5 feet in length with several kinds of end connectors, but whatever extension is found it has to have an M20 connector in order to plug into the solar charging port of the 1200W unit, and that is the challenge to locate I am having, not being a solar pro. If this all works, I will definitely increase stars but at this point everything is on the fence still. ORIGINAL REVIEW JUNE 15: I took a chance on this newly listed unknown brand because of specs. At this point it is a 1-star experience, will update if it turns to better. Read others saying their units would not take a charge but that 'seller made it right'. Well that seller is listed as the manufacturer, and shipped stateside via Fedex, not amazon, and package weight was over 33 lbs. Box was not damaged at all & unboxing went without event. However, power station was entirely unresponsive to any button push, not as described of pushing for 3 seconds, or any amount. However, unit display lit up when plugged into wall ac, but it stayed stuck at 68% charge no longer how long plugged in. When plugged into the wall the various buttons would work, but never would the unit take a charge. Didn't matter if made sure to have all different sections turned off so there was no power out drain, the percentage of the battery always stays at 68, interestingly just like the display in the manufacturer video profiling the unit. So went to the 'support' option which took me not to amazon communication to seller, but to off website. There was an email address for support, period, and a long list of what is not returnable, including what could be defined as this unit, however as others had said seller made right to exchange defective machine that is where I took the risk. At this point it seems suspicious that everyone gets a unit that doesn't charge right off the bat with the same power that I ordered - makes me think if they are not passing off the same unit that won't charge to see if anyone can get it to charge or won't complain, otherwise how is it that no one's unit holds a charge when first received? Trying to return via amazon's normal process does not result in option to directly, thought amazon's supervision, to get an exchange, something you may want to know as that makes it more of a problem. I always like amazon in the middle in case sellers turn out not reliable. OK, so this, so far has been my experience: if you get problems, not finding the normal amazon a-z process, but being tossed out to a 3rd party's website without amazon directly keeping records. All one can do at this point is to see how the seller handles everyone getting the product, and each reviewer's experience, why I am reporting that my unit, like others here, arrived not holding a charge, so that if everyone starts showing the same pattern, that will say something of itself. Because it is so heavy boxed, ladies this is something to think about if you want to or can handle this. Now I want to see if the seller gives me a prepaid label for sending this defective item to me, and sends me a working one, another thing to note if everyone had to go through the hassle of getting a lemon, in order to get a working unit - not a problem if it was 7 lbs, but 33 lbs is problem. I purchased the larger version of this battery to use as a back up power source for charging devices, plugging in my coffee maker, or my piano lamp in the event we would have power outages this winter. It’s not going to be something I would be looking to plug my curling iron or refrigerator into, but I recently used it at an outdoor light up-night festival and we were able to plug in 2000 string of Christmas lights at our booth and also charged my phone as we streamed music. 4 hours later, the battery was at 86% which I thought was impressive. I use a remote power source regularly for my business. I do photogrammetry and GIS, and Aerial photography. This thing ROCKS!!! I put it through it's paces shortly after I received it. I have been using a smaller Bluetti and regularly running it out while in remote locations. I knew I needed bigger but units this large are almost cost prohibitive. They had a $200 coupon and it made it that much easier for me to try it. I will give another update in another month. But really pleased with it as of right now. I ran the unit for over 8 hours continuously with 2 battery charger hubs my UAV remote charging, my laptop and my 24" display running the entire 8 hours.
