  • Well crafted and designed
Great product - sturdy; wattage intake to solar generator was about 130 - 160 on a fairly clear day but not cloudless - I am very happy with it. I wanted a 200wt since I find my 400watt is just too big and heavy to think about carting it along with me in my travels (when not necessary); this 200wt is sufficient for most of my needs and is perfectly portable. I love it. ... show more

  • Panels worked great but, construction bad
Update: Great customer service. They are sending me out a panel. Hopefully this one the connections are better. If they are I will up it to 5 stars. (would do 4 1/2 if I could). I would recommend these panels as they do work good and their customer service is great. Usually when you contact via email it can take days but they responded within hours. Panel did real good charging. But my fourth time using it like someone else wrote. The wires in the panel are only glued in there. So the glue got warm and came apart. Now I'm stuck out in the desert with no way to charge anything. So i'm gonna have to find an r v park to go in too until I can get a new panel. So who do I contact to get help with this? I sent an email to all powers and hopefully I'll hear back before too long. Amazon was. Don't help. ... show more

  • It's been at least 2 years and still working well!
Relatively light and portable. We recently bought another one because it works well and generate decent amount of power. The downside is the foldable back support is not very sturdy or stay in place, so the wind can move them a bit or sometimes flip them over. So you need to keep an eye on it.

  • DO NOT PURCHASE, DOESNT OUTPUT POWER
My very first use of this product was to try and charge a portable battery with solar compatible MC4 inputs and compatible specs. At first when I didn't see a charge for 45 mins I thought it might be my MC4 extender cables, but even after I connected the battery directly to the panel in direct Caribbean sunlight I still saw no power output. ... show more

  • Disapointing output
I have had seven years of DIY solar panels (hard, flexible, foldable [60-300watts each]) and seen many claims of watts but typically cautious when listing doesn't specify amp and volts for the PV panel output. I saw actual 18.7 volts so that part was correct as 18 was listed but the amps produced were disappointing and 1/3 less than expected given the brightness of the day. I'll explain: Taking my year old 4 x120 (total 480) watts foldable panels with kickstands I got 246 watts (51%). Very typical for my latitude. Then plugged in just 4x200 (800) watt panels using same wiring, same location +/- 2 feet same 1000 watt 10-32amp MPPT inverter just these panels were different at same angle and got 268 watts (34%). I then tried another exact spare MPPT inverter switching back and forth and got same results plus/minus 1%. Tried a few tests on the individual panel and again at my location and degree of brightness and these 200 watts produced no better than my older 120w (half fold). These four fold PV panels take up a longer run and with the short attached MC4 cables and acclimated kickstands make it difficult to connect in series without buying extension cables. Foolishly I purchased 6 of these from Amazon Warehouse thinking I was getting a good deal on cost per generated watt. Yet not one of the 6 performed any differently when tested individually. or together. Had I paid full price these would have been boxed up and on their way back to Amazon. In fairness this unit is very typical of some of the panels I've seen and purchased in past years promising high wattage but failing to clearly list specifications of PV output amps, volts and conversion efficiencies. I'll hopefully never purchase any panel again not doing the math of max (amps * volts = watts) then looking up the suggested conversion efficiency rating and surface layers coating and reading reviews. While more rigid then the 300w I purchased and broke cells and wires at the folds after a year. I'd be cautious/careful unfolding these for camping or everyday deployment vs the rigid 120's I own feel more solid. These being reviewed cost me more money, weigh more, take up more space, no USB connections or regulator just a straight MC4 connector, feel flimsy, ...... then I've purchased before that turned out to be my most disappointing with poor performance: a lesson learned. ... show more
