Very nice radiator! Replaced an eBay unit with this and it is MUCH nicer! It’s a good 1/4” deeper than my old radiator, but the radiator itself uses that capacity, not just a thin unit with wide brackets. Nice welds, cap fits really tight. Haven’t pressure tested yet, but it’s already a nice replacement. This was used on a 1998 Toyota Tacoma 3.4L (V6) that has been converted to a solid axle suspension. Sits perfect with no vulnerable overhang and good capacity. Mine is very custom so required some trimming of the shroud for clearance, may not be necessary for a stock setup. ... show more

    • Fits but not really…
This one is for the 2wd Taco not 4wd. If you want to use it on a 4wd it fits but the fan shroud will not. The advantage? Clearance! This one will stay tucked up inside the front frame rail and does not hang 3” below the frame.

Excellent cooling fitment was awesome had to find a custom lower hose also thickness. Doesn't allow you to use the clutch fan shroud but with the cooling of this Radiator it is not needed! Don't worry.I went with the 1st gen tacoma so the radiator doesn't sit so low. Which is awesome! Also fits the factory mounting holes. If I need another radiator I'll be buying another one of these. ... show more

    • Well made but had to make modifications
I have a 2000 Tacoma 4x4 with the 3.4L V6. I had to trim radiator to clear truck frame . I also had to change lower radiator hose (original was too long). The fan shroud blocked lower radiator hose and drain valve. I will either modify shroud or leave it off.

The ALLOYWORKS 3-row aluminum radiator for 1995-2004 Toyota Tacomas seems like a well-made product. The all-aluminum construction feels sturdy and high quality. However, there's a bit of a snag with the fit. While it did fit into the engine bay, it wasn't a perfect match size-wise. Installing it required some modifications on my end to get everything lined up correctly. This wasn't super difficult for someone handy with a car, but it certainly wasn't a simple swap-out situation. If you're a DIY enthusiast who is comfortable making some adjustments during installation, then this radiator could be a good option for you. However, if you're looking for a completely plug-and-play replacement, you might want to consider another radiator that guarantees a more exact fit for your specific Tacoma model. Overall, 3 stars for the ALLOYWORKS radiator. Good quality, but be prepared to put in a little extra effort during installation. ... show more

Seems like a decent product thus far. Welds appear to be of a professional level. Fitment was about 80% of the way there. This may vary between units. Will need to give it some time to prove itself long term.

Very nice quality but it will sit 2 or 3 mm too high so closing your hood tightly will be a problem. I solved this by enlarging the existing 4 holes so it can be mounted slightly lowered. You will also need to buy longer M8x1.5 x 16 mm screws to attach the truck frame and M6x1.0 screws to attach the fan shroud to it. Overall a well built radiator despite some quirks. ... show more
