I was a little hesitant on getting this due to some reviews about different pieces not lining up properly... but I'm glad I got it. Anyone with a brain can follow the instructions and put this thing together. Instructions are easy to follow and the pictures are detailed. Be sure to take your time and look at the orientation of the holes on the pictures. Crate itself looks/feels of good quality. The metal parts have a rough texture to it and the doors lock like any standard wired crate. The top panel of wood is heavy and sturdy. This was delivered the day after I ordered, I was very pleased with the quality and looks of the crate. It looks like a piece of furniture (instead of a metal crate) and is the perfect size. I had a wee bit of a problem screwing in the back sheet metal screws but my Makita tool worked great

I wanted a crate for our little dog that I can also use as furniture. This works well. It's not a total eyesore like the standard crates. For furniture, it has sort of an industrial feel. This will be my night stand and my fur baby’s bed. The only thing I don’t like is that the tray is below the bottom and my little chihuahua would have to stick her legs thru the grates to walk or do a balancing act to stay on the grates but the tray will fit thru the door on the end so she can walk on it instead of putting it underneath it like it’s suppose to be. ... show more

I purchased the dog crate for my son to place in his bedroom. The dog kennel is doubling as a nightstand in his bedroom. The small crate is just the right size for our Westie puppy. Quality and sturdiness is excellent!

This says 2 man job but I made it a one woman job! I would recommend a mini power drill (found kit on Amazon) or regular drill to make quick work of this. Finished in less than an hour while I was watching tv. Just be careful where the holes are facing. Had to take apart 2 pieces towards the last few steps because I hadn’t been paying attention to holes. Overall very nice piece and it compliments my other wood&metal furniture from Amazon. My 2 chihuahua pups went in immediately once complete its that cozy! ... show more

    • Glad it was on top where the screws wouldn't tighten up
The media could not be loaded. Update: after reaching put they sent me a replacement. Very pleased I like the look but should make better board for the top for the screws to go in. It flaps at the top and the screw with through the top . Not happy
