I bought this product after a ton of research on all the options for motorized roller shades. I decided on this one as it seemed like the best priced option for what it is. Installation was easy. It came with batteries pre-installed, but replacing them is as easy and unscrewing a screw and pulling (carefully) the battery compartment. The remote is easy to use. It has 3 options: up, pause, and down. No way to mess it up. I took the sellers advice and ordered one that is 4 Inches longer than the window opening (I did an outside install) and the shade itself was the perfect width with the roller being 2 inches on either side. The only things I don't like about it are: 1. The shades bow out a little so my TV to the right of it still shows a small column of light coming through. An inside install may solve that, but the roller doesn't have a valance so there would be some light coming through between the shade and roller assembly. 2. The mount for an outside mount doesn't sit flush with the wall which probably also causes the issue I mentioned in 1. I think it would blackout a bit more if it sat closer to the wall. 3. One of the mounts didn't want to click into place, but the other one worked perfectly and smooth. Could just be a fluke, but it was frustrating considering I was trying to get it while reaching up to the top of the window. Overall I think it's worth the money if you don't want a ton of features and a simple install. I have a second window right next to this one so I'll be ordering another one. If there is issues with the second one I'll be sure to update this review. Otherwise not a bad product at a reasonable price. NOTE: This is not a smart roller shade. I have a window that's too high up for any kind of curtain you can adjust. I work nights & like it dark during the day. But when I'm off i like a little natural light. This is perfect. I got the gray & it completely blocks light. I got it a little wider than the window so no sun peeks through. The remote is for up, down, stop. It's smooth & quiet. Eventually the shade battery will get low & I'll have to get someone back up on a ladder to replace them, but hopefully not for a long time. ... show more

The items came already programed and it was a very easy install. We can now use the back porch even when late afternoon sun shines in. A simple press of the 2 remotes, shades come down and we are happy no sun glaring at us!

We purchased these for our bedroom. After our other traditional blinds broke, I loved these, as they block the sun from coming in when you don't want it. It is easy to push a button when you want light, and they go up. I plan on buying more; I wish you could put multiple shades on one remote.

While this blind is shorter than the window it works. Directions work great. Came with batteries. Hoping it lasts longer than a month or so since this window is 35 feet off the ground.
