the racks are fully adjustable and pretty sturdy plastic but the contact point doesn't really grab or seat into my '12 F150 window frame. kinda wobbly at the top but if it falls out I'll modify it. very inexpensive so I don't expect perfection

01 gmc sierra 3door extended cab slt package with solid rear window- I can only use the top rack because of the headrests. It's strong enough to hang my stock remington 870 off of. It would be nicer if it had some type of lock in mechanism so if you hit a good bump or cross the railroad tracks a little to fast items couldn't bounce off the rack. There's been several people who say you have to run an extra bolt as a cross member and I'd agree with them. If your just mounting a fishing pole or an umbrella, I'd say this would work as It's sold. If it's holding anything more dependable - I'd plan on a home depot trip and follow others recommendations. All and all - It gets the job done for a decent price and unless your going to 3d print your own rack, the minor adjustments need to make this a solid rack are worth it. Mine came with all parts and instructions necessary and arrived when it was supposed to. The box was all beat up but, I'd blame the delivery guy, not the manufacturer. If I ever needed another gun rack or even a pole holder or umbrella or whatever holder, I'd reorder this one...Also the tabs that hold it against the window have enough space so they could be drilled out and you could mount it to a wall or something. So, if the manufacturer where to see this, I'd say - add some type of rubber bumpers (or suction cups) on it between it and the window for extra support, add some type of cross member so it's more sturdy and doesn't sway (something that isn't molded to it, something that can be added after it's mounted and that can adjust width wise), and add like a bungie style lock down so items can't bounce out of it. It's supposed to be universal. But I have a 2012 Ford f150 pickup and it doesn't fit it's too small for the back window and it's just a regular cab truck. I'm going to order a metal gun rack, like I should have done in the first place, instead of plastic.

I bought these for my husband and one arm will not hold into the window. We installed exactly as we were supposed to and one holds the other will seem tight and then just fall out on our drive.
