I have been buying this coffee for a couple years through Amazon. Occasionally a pack or two out of six would be in second week after roasting. This shipment: all six were in third week after roasting! I really like my coffee extremely fresh. This is still OK, but if this trend continues with coffee that has been sitting a few weeks before shipment, I will probably start roasting my own so I can have it really fresh. ... show more

I'm a bit conflicted because the package says "Mocha Java: mixed berry / stonefruit / warming spice". I agree the coffee is very smooth with just the right touch of fruit and spice flavors. But I don't seem to detect any *mocha*. So it's a good coffee, but just be aware that the flavors you're getting do not match the name at the top. It's a good coffee but I wouldn't call it "mocha java". ... show more

The most important thing for me is that it had a nice dark, oily bean (strong dark roast) and didn't give me any stomach acid even though I drank alot. (because it was very good)

After a year of trying different Dark Roast beans, this is the best tasting. Most importantly, after 5 months of making it every day, it still tastes as good as it did the first day. And the price is fantastic

I like this coffee best of the Allegro line. It is mild but flavorful, and can make good drip coffee as well as French press and even an espresso, albeit not very dark. It’s got good flavor (when fresh).
