I think this tablet is perfect for the kiddos. Battery lasts all day! The kids profile is perfectly tailored for them. There are many books, audibles, games, and educational apps! I like that I can add content and block content as I please. the parental controls gives you free range on precisely what to block, when to block. There are educational goals to meet before a child can play on the tablet. You can lock the tablet after so many minutes or hours of screen time! It occasionally lags, but it isnt so bad where my kids ditch it all together. I personally have a kindle fire and kindle ereader, and i love the Amazon ecosystem so my review may be biased. I love this thing. I don’t have to worry about setting up a child profile on my iCloud account if i would have got them ipads. I’d rather the kids play around with the Amazon fire tablets since it doesn’t break the bank should I end up needing to replace it. Speaking of replacement, the child fire tablets come with a 2 year worry free guarantee replacement. It is usually replaced with a refurbished of the same model. Which is perfect. The media could not be loaded. My husband and I drove from Western Montana to Southern Nevada (Nearly 1000 miles) over Christmas break this year with our 14 month old. This tablet was perfect because we were able to download our son’s favorite movies on the Disney Plus App to play for him when he started getting restless or fussy on the drive. The case is included and is great quality with a built in adjustable stand. My only criticisms would be that the interface is pretty clunky and there isn’t a way to download YouTube kids (or if there is a way, it is not straightforward or user friendly like downloading other apps was). We were really hoping to download some Ms. Rachel videos but weren’t able to find a way to. Overall this tablet is an awesome value for the price and the Amazon guarantee gives great piece of mind when your kid inevitably drops it a million times. This is a great gift for holidays, birthdays, or just because. An added bonus is you can add an adult profile and use the tablet as a kindle too! ... show more

I got my son the pro version thinking it would run fast and he could continue to use it as he grows (he’s 1.5 yrs now). This tablet is very laggy and constantly glitching. Maybe I’m just used to my iPad which is extremely fast and responsive but I’m just disappointed this was marketed as a “pro” and it’s still laggy with simple things like opening an app. But for the price it’s still worth it and my son does love watching his shows on here plus the add free experience is amazing so I don’t regret buying it.
