The doorbell camera works fine. I wired it to the home doorbell in the house and after changing a couple of settings in the app it works just fine. The module that came with it does not work, it will not connect to WIFI. I had bought this doorbell camera a few months ago but life kept me from installing until just a few days ago, so I couldn't send it back. With the lack of amazon customer service I worked the internet and tried all the various ways to reboot, update and configure the module, many times without success. I then synced the doorbell camera to another module for blink outdoor cameras that I had. It's not the way I wanted it, but it works. Update, 5/7/26 Shortly after I did the first review on my Blink door bell camera I got a message from Kevin at Blink Technical Support. He determined the sync module had a hardware issue. He sent another one right away, I was out of town and didn't get to install it right away, but when I got back it signed on and worked just like it should. It looks different than the first. I deleted the doorbell from the camera module I had paired it with and paired to the new one and with just a couple of adjustments all is well. Alex from Blink Customer Support followed up to make sure every thing was good. So, to summarize, There was an issue with the Blink Camera module that came with a door bell camera I ordered. I was able to pair it with a blink camera module I had in service so I was able to use it anyway. I left a less than stellar review and a human contacted me and made everything as it should be. I amended the review to five stars because though there was an issue, once humans got involved it was taken care of. Thank you Kevin and Alex!

The Blink Video Doorbell was very easy to set up and works well. The video quality is clear, and the head-to-toe view is very useful for seeing visitors and packages. I also like the long battery life and the included Sync Module Core. The app is simple to use and notifications come through quickly. Very happy with this doorbell system.

The doorbell will not stay online!! When I was setting it up a few days ago, I noticed it would disconnect a few minutes after linking it to the sync module but when I'd press the doorbell, it'd come back online. It finally stayed online and I was able to stop messing with it. This initial set up (after I had the mounting bracket up) took about a half an hour because of it constantly going offline and me having to reconnect it. I didn't check in on it for a few days cuz I assumed it was working, since it's brand new, but thinking back, I realize I should have been getting notifications for movement. I live in an apartment and the doorbell faces the parking lot so there's a lot of movement. I didn't realize this until now because I just set it up a few days ago and I don't really know how it all works, but I'm pretty sure it's supposed to record all motion, right? Anyway, I had an Amazon package stolen today from the door where I placed this doorbell; this was one of the reasons I wanted the video doorbell because I had a package stolen before because Amazon drivers don't read my delivery instructions to deliver my package in a safe place. After realizing my package was stolen, I went to the blink app to see the video. Well, OF COURSE the camera is offline and has been for days. I had no recordings in the app of anything since the initial set up day. I tested it a few times during set up and those were the only recordings in the app at all. So apparently it hasn't been working since I set it up that first day. I'm so frustrated. What a piece of junk!! Update on 12/26/25: Blink Customer service has reached out to me to help resolve this issue. The doorbell reconnected and was online after I rang the doorbell upon arriving home on 12/24 after my package having been stolen that morning. It has been working and recording motion, etc. since. When they reached out to me, I went into the app to allow them access so they could look into why it wasn't working properly previously, and it was OFFLINE AGAIN. It has gone back online in the hours since, but obviously there is an issue. Another issue I realized on 12/24: there is NO TUTORIAL OR INSTRUCTIONS to teach you how to use the video doorbell. I had to Google what "armed" and "disarmed" meant. I realize that the first day I set this up, I did not have it "armed" because I didn't know I needed it to be in order to record motion. This would have been nice to know. I guess even if it had been online for those days, I still wouldn't have gotten a recording of the thief because I didn't have it "armed". I didn't know that was necessary because there was no manual or tutorial or anything to tell you how to use this! I am pretty tech savvy and have figured these things out now, but I can't imagine someone else who isn't as tech savvy, they would have an even worse time than me figuring out HOW TO USE THIS SYSTEM. Also, the instructions for mounting were pretty terrible and hard to find AND didn't even have pictures, which would have been helpful. Overall, I'm still very disappointed in this product. We'll see if customer service can turn my experience around. Update 6/22/26: I still hate this product. About 2-3 months after getting it set up and it actually working most of the time (it still goes on and offline constantly) the batteries ran out. The claim for battery life was much longer than that, but a few months isn't so bad. I bought the recommended batteries and put them in the device. Two weeks later the batteries were dead. I was so frustrated that I took awhile to buy new batteries cuz they are expensive. I finally got around to buying new batteries, the recommended kind, and once again, the batteries lasted for 2 or so weeks and then died. I'm so done with this piece of junk!

Fast delivery and easy to setup I have an existing system and adding the doorbell was really easy I just wish the night vision was a little bit clearer and the duration of the recordings are longer. But other than that the day recordings are so clear and motion notifications are on point! It gives me peace of mind having an additional camera for my house.

This is my first video doorbell, and it has worked just fine so far. Setup was fairly easy, although it took a few minutes. It has helped me to determine when I have package deliveries, even when I am away from home, and gives me that extra measure of security. Picture quality and sound from the camera is quite good, as is the motion detection. I was impressed that this also allowed me to play the doorbell sound through my Blink Mini security cameras. Being an apartment dweller, I also purchased an anti-theft door mount bracket (no drilling) for installation, which was easy. The only down side so far has been the battery life. I had the doorbell disconnect just shy of 3 months after installation. After researching the issue, I removed and replaced the batteries, and relocated the sync module to within 3 feet of the doorbell. This worked for a few days, and then today it once again disconnected. I had anticipated this, and had a set of Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA batteries ready to install, so now it has new batteries, and it is working again. Hopefully, the original batteries were just old and this does not soon recur - otherwise, I will be skeptical about the two-year battery life which is advertised. My apartment door faces an interior hallway on the top floor of my building, and there is seldom traffic near it (plus, the motion detection is only on a few hours a week). In the three months I have owned it, I think it has been rang less than six times (I seldom have visitors).

The Blink Video Doorbell has been an excellent addition to my home security setup. Installation was surprisingly simple, and within just a few minutes I had it connected to the Blink app and monitoring my front door. Whether you choose the wire-free option or connect it to existing doorbell wiring, the setup process is straightforward and beginner-friendly. The video quality is excellent. The head-to-toe HD view provides a much wider perspective than many traditional video doorbells, making it easy to see visitors, packages, and the entire area in front of the door. Daytime video is crisp and detailed, while the infrared night vision continues to provide clear images after dark. One of my favorite features is the impressive battery life. With the included lithium batteries and Sync Module Core, it's nice knowing the doorbell is designed to provide long-lasting performance without frequent battery changes. That makes it much more convenient than constantly having to recharge or replace batteries. The two-way audio works very well. Conversations are clear on both ends, allowing me to speak with delivery drivers, family members, or visitors whether I'm at home or away. Motion alerts arrive quickly through the app, giving me confidence that I'm aware of activity at my front door. I also appreciate how versatile the system is. Note: Pictures are of broken camera BEFORE replacement [please read story!] I've had this Blink doorbell camera for almost 2 years now and it works great! Love the features and the fact that it "rings" on all my Alexa devices when the button is pressed. No need for the "2K" version because it's positioned in a stairwell anyway. One day the camera became dislodged from the wall and fell down the stairs (made a very loud banging sound). This was completely MY FAULT for mounting the camera incorrectly and NOT following the instructions provided and using the included screws (I used Command Strips). I was devastated to discover that the doorbell camera now looked "blurry" and was permanently out-of-focus. I called Blink Customer Support at MIDNIGHT on a Saturday expecting nothing. I ended the call with a new camera sent my way with 2-day-shipping and the ability to send my camera back to them to be looked at/repaired. The new camera arrived 2-3 days later and I was extremely pleased with their customer service. They sent me the new camera and I was able to install it BEFORE sending my old camera back (which I did). Again: The pictures I'm posting with this review are the OLD BROKEN camera, NOT the brand new one I received. I strongly recommend this product, but be sure to mount it correctly and NOT via tape/Command Strips! :)

We got our first Blink camera less than 6 months ago. Installing and syncing to base was very easy. A one year subscription came with our purchase which we were able to start using right away. The picture quality is good; video quality is clear but can be choppy. There is a delay in live view once the camera senses movement so you can't see the area for 10 seconds while the camera is recording. Not such a great function if the purpose is to chase intruders. But you do get those 10 seconds in the recordings. We eventually bought 4 outdoor cameras and have them placed around the outside of our home. Not a fan of the customer service. I received a notification that my records subscription was expiring? I jumped online to see what that was all about and found a post to "link your device to subscription". What happened was they ADDED a new subscription to a separate camera. It took 3 days and five phone calls to get it sorted. Amazon sent me to Blink and Blink sent me back to Amazon??? In the end, Amazon cancelled BOTH subscriptions so I had to start all over again!!! I'm currently trying to get a replacement for the battery cover that broke while trying to change the batteries. It's been two days of emails. They want to access my account history for "troubleshooting"??? I don't know how troubleshooting can solve a broken piece of plastic but they won't replace it unless I unlock the account. I'm not very impressed so far.
