  • Works great in my home
Color: White Style: System (Doorbell + Sync Module) Configuration: Doorbell
I’m really happy with this Blink doorbell! It’s a great addition to my home and gives me extra peace of mind knowing I can keep an eye on what’s happening around my front door. The setup was fairly simple, and once everything was connected, it was easy to use and check whenever I needed to. The video quality is good and provides a clear view of the area around the door. I really like being able to see who is there without having to immediately open the door. It’s especially convenient for keeping track of deliveries, visitors, and unexpected activity. Another feature I really appreciate is the convenience of being able to check the doorbell from my phone. It makes it easy to stay aware of what’s happening even when I’m not right near the door. The overall design is sleek and doesn’t look bulky once installed. For the price, I think this is a great home-security and convenience upgrade. It’s easy to use, gives me a good view of my entryway, and provides some extra reassurance when it comes to knowing who is at the door. Overall, I’m very pleased with the Blink doorbell. It’s convenient, useful, and gives me the added peace of mind I was looking for. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting an easy-to-use video doorbell for their home. ... show more

  • easy set up
Color: White Style: System (Doorbell + Sync Module) Configuration: Doorbell
I bought the Blink Video Doorbell for my mother’s house, and it has been a great purchase. The installation was very easy — it took just a few minutes, and the app walked me through everything step‑by‑step. Once it was set up, it connected right away and started working with no issues. The video quality is clear, the motion alerts come through quickly, and the two‑way audio works well when she needs to talk to someone at the door. What really impressed me is how reliable it’s been — it’s been installed for almost a year now, and it’s still working perfectly without any problems. Overall, this doorbell has given my mother peace of mind and has been a dependable, easy‑to‑use security upgrade for her home. Definitely worth it. ... show more

  • A waste of money and a threat to your actual and perceived sense of security
Color: Black Style: System (Doorbell + Sync Module) Configuration: Doorbell
Terrible camera. On a relatively fast network the blink camera doorbell and outdoor 4’s have severe delays in notifications, two way communication and the fact that it has a local recording hub to hold videos, yet for this local hub which in all of my research said nothing about requiring a paid subscription just to record what is happening while watching it happen live?! What a POS this is. That isn’t security at all. Some junkie already stole a camera I had setup because there was no immediate alert on the outdoor 4 with the XR. By the way, you must have the larger recording hub in order to have the XR (separate purchase) and you must pay to record your own property keeping it on your local network on your own micro SD you bought to plug in to the hub! So there was no point in me buying this stupid camera system. The accessories to buy that are supposed to make this work for my needs, like the door chime is also delayed on the network because this camera sucks so bad. How do I know it is the blink system and not my home network? have so many cameras set up from other lesser known companies that allow me to access my own local videos stored on my app and the micro SD cards plugged into the camera. I can log in live to record and have a conversation with about a 1-1.5 second lag. The lag on blink, when it feels like connecting is so great that you will miss whatever is happening on your property or at your front door in the time it takes to log in and just view. No recording. The recordings that do get stored are random and still have a lag to trigger so when I get the alert and am able to log in to view it, I am seeing package thieves walking away already or there is nothing there but a foot leaving the frame. The job is stored along the front wall of the condo less that 20 feet from the doorbell camera in a window, (insulation rating R1, versus a wall which is higher) It is at the same position as the other generic cameras that operate on the second floor 30 feet further from their access point at the router, and they are still far superior to Blink and they all record faster, on demand on the Tf card and my phone, they are better at the two-way communication with faster signal. And they cost far less for purchase and optional subscription for cloud service. The built in thermometer readings need calibrated every time you log into the cameras or it will never give you an accurate or appropriate temp. It continuously reads over 40° (f) or more off. In winter it read warmer, on average than actual temp. In the heat of the oncoming summer, it is telling me on 90°+ days that the temp is in the 40°’s Fahrenheit. Blink is not worth it unless you like spending money for the sake of spending it. Because unless it is the only thing on an empty network, you have no real control over your own videos stored on your own tf card if you are viewing something live without paying blink for the opportunity to try to record your own stuff to your own local storage hub. Or, as the junkie who stole my camera proved (it recorded the incident only after he was more than halfway deconstructing the fence I hid the camera on) you can do a lot in the seconds it takes to commit a crime and those precious seconds can make all the difference. So what am I paying for if I got the subscription?? Inaccurate temp sensor? Ability to possibly record to my own TF card but with such a significant delay, what would be the point? Trash. Blink is trash. I feel like all of the professional reviews I read comparing this were actually just paid endorsements. Anona, Vico, and even Home V (my least favorite of the 3), all work better as my primary cameras for protecting my property. Yes, they offer the option of a subscription for some of the AI features and cloud storage, but I want to keep my data stored local and the basic AI features work just as well spotting people, pets, packages and other motion, free. ... show more

  • Easy-to-Install Smart Doorbell with Excellent Battery Life and Clear Video
Color: Black Style: System (Doorbell + Sync Module) Configuration: Doorbell
The Blink Video Doorbell has been an excellent addition to my home security setup. Installation was surprisingly simple, and within just a few minutes I had it connected to the Blink app and monitoring my front door. Whether you choose the wire-free option or connect it to existing doorbell wiring, the setup process is straightforward and beginner-friendly. The video quality is excellent. The head-to-toe HD view provides a much wider perspective than many traditional video doorbells, making it easy to see visitors, packages, and the entire area in front of the door. Daytime video is crisp and detailed, while the infrared night vision continues to provide clear images after dark. One of my favorite features is the impressive battery life. With the included lithium batteries and Sync Module Core, it's nice knowing the doorbell is designed to provide long-lasting performance without frequent battery changes. That makes it much more convenient than constantly having to recharge or replace batteries. The two-way audio works very well. Conversations are clear on both ends, allowing me to speak with delivery drivers, family members, or visitors whether I'm at home or away. Motion alerts arrive quickly through the app, giving me confidence that I'm aware of activity at my front door. I also appreciate how versatile the system is. It can be installed wire-free or connected to existing doorbell wiring, integrates seamlessly with Alexa-enabled devices, and offers both cloud storage and local storage options when paired with compatible Blink accessories. The included Sync Module Core provides reliable connectivity and helps keep everything running smoothly. We liked this system so much we added them to our doors on the rear of the house. The adjustability of the features are a plus. The overall build quality is excellent. The doorbell feels solid and weather-resistant, the mounting hardware is sturdy, and the included corner mount makes it easy to achieve the ideal viewing angle. Everything feels well designed and built to withstand year-round outdoor use. Considering everything included in the package, this system offers excellent value for the money. The doorbell, Sync Module Core, batteries, mounting hardware, and simple setup provide a complete solution that's easy to install and use. Overall, the Blink Video Doorbell delivers outstanding video quality, dependable performance, excellent battery life, and versatile installation options. It's an affordable and reliable way to add smart security to your home, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a feature-rich video doorbell that's easy to install and use. ... show more

  • Great video doorbell, except for initial battery life
Color: Black Style: System (Doorbell + Sync Module) Configuration: Doorbell
This is my first video doorbell, and it has worked just fine so far. Setup was fairly easy, although it took a few minutes. It has helped me to determine when I have package deliveries, even when I am away from home, and gives me that extra measure of security. Picture quality and sound from the camera is quite good, as is the motion detection. I was impressed that this also allowed me to play the doorbell sound through my Blink Mini security cameras. Being an apartment dweller, I also purchased an anti-theft door mount bracket (no drilling) for installation, which was easy. The only down side so far has been the battery life. I had the doorbell disconnect just shy of 3 months after installation. After researching the issue, I removed and replaced the batteries, and relocated the sync module to within 3 feet of the doorbell. This worked for a few days, and then today it once again disconnected. I had anticipated this, and had a set of Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA batteries ready to install, so now it has new batteries, and it is working again. Hopefully, the original batteries were just old and this does not soon recur - otherwise, I will be skeptical about the two-year battery life which is advertised. My apartment door faces an interior hallway on the top floor of my building, and there is seldom traffic near it (plus, the motion detection is only on a few hours a week). In the three months I have owned it, I think it has been rang less than six times (I seldom have visitors). ... show more

  • Fell Off & Broke - INSTANT New Product (Very Pleased)
Color: Black Style: System (Doorbell + Sync Module) Configuration: Doorbell
Note: Pictures are of broken camera BEFORE replacement [please read story!] I've had this Blink doorbell camera for almost 2 years now and it works great! Love the features and the fact that it "rings" on all my Alexa devices when the button is pressed. No need for the "2K" version because it's positioned in a stairwell anyway. One day the camera became dislodged from the wall and fell down the stairs (made a very loud banging sound). This was completely MY FAULT for mounting the camera incorrectly and NOT following the instructions provided and using the included screws (I used Command Strips). I was devastated to discover that the doorbell camera now looked "blurry" and was permanently out-of-focus. I called Blink Customer Support at MIDNIGHT on a Saturday expecting nothing. I ended the call with a new camera sent my way with 2-day-shipping and the ability to send my camera back to them to be looked at/repaired. The new camera arrived 2-3 days later and I was extremely pleased with their customer service. They sent me the new camera and I was able to install it BEFORE sending my old camera back (which I did). Again: The pictures I'm posting with this review are the OLD BROKEN camera, NOT the brand new one I received. I strongly recommend this product, but be sure to mount it correctly and NOT via tape/Command Strips! :) ... show more

  • No frills, you get what you pay for
Color: Black Style: System (Doorbell + Sync Module) Configuration: Doorbell
Blink is emailing me and asking for a review, so here it is. I had a different brand of doorbell camera for several years (rhymes with best). It worked great until it didn’t. It recently died so when shopping for a new one I definitely wasn’t interested in spending that much money. After doing some research, I thought the Blink would make a good replacement. After using the Blink for several days, I’ve found it to be a disappointment. The Blink is 1/6 the price of the other one, which is the only pro I can think of so far. What I mainly don’t like is that it doesn’t record continuous video, but rather only “moments” when it detects motion. So, you can only go back and access clips rather than scroll through a continuous video feed. The video quality is also not as good, which surprised me somewhat given that my former one was many years older than this. The night vision and sound quality are adequate. Also, the Blink device is much physically larger and more bulky, which to me makes it a little unsightly. Installation was relatively easy and straightforward for me. The app for Blink is no-frills at best, and cheap and janky-feeling at worst. The competitor’s app feels much more streamlined and user friendly to me. The app does allow for a fair amount of customization, but it feels a bit cumbersome to do. Another frustrating thing is that my old one’s app would show me previews of the clips when my phone was locked, so I didn’t have to actually open the app to see who was on my porch. The Blink doesn’t seem to offer that, so anytime I get a notification, I have to open the app and load the clip to see if it was just the mailman or my cat triggering the camera. I really miss that feature. Overall, if you’re on a tighter budget, then the Blink is adequate. If I had known all the things I mentioned above before buying, I would’ve thought twice before going with it, but here I am. I can’t comment on the Ring, but the other brand out there seems like much better quality. It costs 6x the price, so that’s definitely a factor to consider. ... show more
