  • Cool toy
CPU: 11th Generation Intel Core i7-11800H RAM Size: 16 GB Hard Disk Size: 512 GB Graphics Description: RTX 3070
I've been trying to decide about a review for this machine, so here goes. My acer helios 300 gpu went out. So I need something new. I never dreamed of getting an alienware, but amazon had the payment plan, so I thought why not. This thing is 100x quieter then my acer. I mean the alienware goes up alittle bit, but not bad. I can't tell a huge difference, between the screen quality. The graphics between a 1660ti and a 3070 seem pretty similar. The alienware is definitely faster. I haven't decided on the price is it worth it idk. The keyboard is dumb, no number pad, just little things. I think if your going to make a premium product give it some premium toys. So anyhoo this definitely a great machine. I play guild wars 2, assassin's creed valhalla and odyssey, border lands 3, many games. It runs them on all high and ultra. So I say check out the alienware power. ... show more

  • Amazing Laptop for Gamer people
CPU: 11th Generation Intel Core i7-11800H RAM Size: 16 GB Hard Disk Size: 512 GB Graphics Description: RTX 3070
Love how strong is the setup. I had an old desktop with a GTX1650 and now I got 4x to 8x fps improvement (like from 50fps to 200fps), and rised from hd to full hd. Don't have any complain about it, if I need to point something is the keyboard is not the mechanical one, but still very good. RTX3070 is definilly a very nice choice to play games! ... show more

  • I wanted to like it so bad.
CPU: 11th Generation Intel Core i7-11800H RAM Size: 16 GB Hard Disk Size: 512 GB Graphics Description: RTX 3070
This is my second AW device ever. Aesthetically, it’s beautiful. Build quality is superb. But it’s not all about that now is it? NOPE. My first AW had hardware issues years and I thought maybe enough time has passed that I could finally buy another. It worked great at first. I was streaming games from my switch to it and editing video with no issues. I only did that for maybe 2 weeks at most. Majority of the time the laptop just sits there. Now I started to notice the problems toward the end of November. There’s a lot of lag with the software and the fans kick on for almost anything. Opening up google chrome? Fans on hyper speed. I’m way passed my return window so I’m stuck with this for now. I do a little bit of gaming but my main thing is music production. I don’t do anything on it too intensive and I always check the CPU/Ram levels while doing so. Another issue, I just formatted the pc today because updates to apps/programs wouldn’t actually install. I would install the updates and then when it was done the update would still be available to install. I haven’t checked to see if formatting it and reinstalling windows fixed the issues but I will post an update in a few weeks. As of right now I would advise people to look elsewhere ESPECIALLY if you’re into music production. ... show more

  • Bought this for work, but its a solid gamer as well!
CPU: 11th Generation Intel Core i7-11800H RAM Size: 16 GB Hard Disk Size: 512 GB Graphics Description: RTX 3070
The media could not be loaded. Picked this up to do some work from home and also a little gaming. Man this thing delivers on both fronts. Amazing 1440p screen with gsync for very smooth gaming, also has a mux switch so you can disable optims for even better gaming performance (at the cost of battery life). Defiinitely not a cheap laptop but for what you get i think its a reasonable price. I did upgrade the ram to 32gb and also added a second 2tb nvme drive. One thing i would recommend though is a quick undervolt on the cpu and gpu which will lower the temps on this thing drastically. ... show more

  • could of been better
CPU: 11th Generation Intel Core i7-11800H RAM Size: 16 GB Hard Disk Size: 512 GB Graphics Description: RTX 3070
Notes: Add a second ssd. The ssd provided isn't fast enough for gaming so you'll get noticeable texture pop ups. It's good enough for daily tasks, just don't count on it for gaming. The secondary drive came with a heatsink for the ssd which was nice of them to add. The ram that came with this laptop was dual channel 2x 8gb which was a good surprise. I bought 2x 16gb thinking I had to replace the ram because it would of been 1x 16gb ram. So if you want to save money, buy a faster ssd. Heat: I suggest going into bios and setting TCC offset to 10 or 11 so it caps around 90c. Invest in a cooling pad, i suggest IETS GT500 Powerful Turbo-Fan. It's like an AC inside there. You don't even need for it to be turned on, the bottom space gives enough breathing room & tcc does enough so it won't overheat. Typing feels really nice but the secondary key functions aren't lit which is super annoying. Why!?! My trackpad (probably just mine) makes a weird click sound from the black paper inside clicking against the metal when I press down. I'm a bit lazy to cut it. The screen is good, good blacks and can get really bright. Don't depend on the battery. Fingerprint magnet. Face recognition is fast. Webcam quality is ehh. Opening up is simple but you need a smaller size screwdriver. The sound needs to be played with to get it right. It's loud enough but sounds weird until you mess with the settings. You have to google the preset numbers. I thought the gpu would the biggest issue with cooling but it's the processor. If i was confident enough to know how to undervolt i would. TCC is just easier even though undervolting is a better solution. Thoughts: I got it because i wanted a gaming laptop and that is what I got. I'm not sure what they were thinking about with the ssd and secondary key lighting but it isn't a super deal breaker. If amazon had a month to month payment plan for every other high price laptop, i would of chosen something else. This laptop isn't discrete and power management is non existence so you can't use it for anything else. So trying to use this for travel or at school is out of the question. ... show more

I'm not a bot nor a person paid for this review. It is a excellent computer I ended up upgrading the ram but the stock ram was still awesome. I would recommend this to anyone.

  • Slow RAM? 2230 SSD? no num-pad? really?
CPU: 11th Generation Intel Core i7-11800H RAM Size: 16 GB Hard Disk Size: 512 GB Graphics Description: RTX 3070
For gaming this thing is pretty great. Once you replace Dell's poor choice of RAM, that is. By no means is this thing a terrible laptop, it's just the little things that irk me. Having no num pad is one of them. Same thing with having a 2230, low capacity SSD. For the price of this machine, did Dell really need to skimp on some of the components? nah. Just keep in mind folks, even though it's not terrible, the price tag is for the name. ... show more
