Alienware seems to really gotten their act together recently. This laptop is beautiful, has a great high-quality feel to all the materials including the keyboard, and yet it’s actually a pretty good value given the performance specs. The only thing I can possibly complain about is the screen isn’t the highest quality. It’s got great frame rate, and nice color, but the contrast isn’t great, and the uniformity of blacks is pretty poor. I really wish Alienware would offer an OLED screen on what is supposed to be their flagship laptop, but that’s only a minor complaint. I’d certainly be happy to pay more to get a better screen, but at this price point the screen quality is acceptable. The thermals are much improved over the prior generation. There’s only so much they can do because they insist on using Intel processors, but they’ve done a nice job with the cooling on this one. Unless you’re playing a game you won’t even notice the fan, and when you are it’s not nearly as loud as the prior generation, and the laptop itself doesn’t get as hot. Lastly, the performance: absolutely amazing for a laptop. Especially at this price. I could run Forza 5 at the highest settings and hit 240 frames a second. Not a bad laptop at all. Only returned due to me wanting to get a full Alienware tower. Would highly recommend for people getting into gaming on laptop/ or people looking for portable gaming devices. Only thing is it can get extremely hot in your lap so be carful when gaming like that, but not different then other said gaming laptops. Recommend using a desk ... show more

I thought that I might be here writing this review given my past experience with Dell computers, I received this laptop 9/4/2025, today is 9/17/2025 and it has died. I only played 2 games on it Crusader Kings 3 typically on my lap while watching sports, and iRacing primarily which it performed average for at best. Today when I went to turn the laptop on it sent me directly to a diagnose screen during boot up where it gave me options to try to diagnose the issue or power off the computer, where I chose to power it off. I ended up having to this twice. I finally made it to my desktop screen where I found it had an optional firmware update that I figured could be the issue so i let it update and now the computer is bricked. Will not respond to any key inputs, I cannot even hard power down. I sent a ticket into Dell Support to have a mail in repair started, but as stated in my first sentence, this is Dell folks, poor quality computers these days, between the drivers and the firmware they are nothing but problems. Got this on sale for my step-son. It was a good deal. He had one or two set-up issues with sound driver updates and his drawing pad but otherwise he's been very happy with it. He resolved all issues by updating all drivers manually.

It's a massive laptop and it weighs a ton, over quality of the laptop is great! The specs are great! Just a bit slow booting and the Alienware softwares are all sluggish. Screen quality is okay nothing impressive but the heat he dissipation is amazing.
