Works as expected, looks slick, and runs cool, going from a X15R2 to this is a night and day difference, the 5080 is leagues ahead of the 3070ti and having the ability to change ram and the option to have 3 ssds is so nice. So far so good. I bought this computer for my son who just started his first year of college. This computer has all the specs & features that they were required to have for his major. I hope it doesn't disappoints. Arrived on time. Graphics are bold!

The laptop is fine, certainly fast in booting and operation, and plays high demanding graphics games great, BUT, the listing reads “2TB NVMe M.2 PCIe Gen5 SSD”, and as it turns out, the SSD is a less valuable and less performative Gen4 so that part sucked. Amazon made it somewhat right with a slight refund though… In order to get a certain functionality out of the system, per Dell, I had to reset/reload from the factory image to a clean run of the operating system, reload all the drivers and such, and then upgraded “Windows 11 Home” to “Pro” by tossing Microsoft $100… All in all, it was a good value for what I paid, but I would have preferred a smoother takeoff… ... show more

    • Great Laptop, But Misleading Listing and Terrible Amazon Support Experience

The laptop itself is excellent, with a unique design and powerful performance, exactly what you would expect from Alienware. However, my main disappointment is with Amazon and their misleading listing title. The product title clearly stated "2TB NVMe M.2 PCIe Gen5 SSD" but what I received was a Gen4, which is a noticeable downgrade. I ordered four of these laptops for family and friends, and they had already been shipped overseas by the time we discovered the issue during setup. When I reported the problem, I spoke with multiple Amazon representatives over the course of almost two weeks, including regular agents, specialists, and supervisors. Unfortunately, they all gave the same response: "Return the item for a refund." There was no effort to consider alternative solutions or acknowledge the listing error. Returning the items from another country is no longer a practical option. As of now, the case remains unresolved. Amazon’s refusal to offer any solution beyond their non-negotiable return policy is incredibly disappointing, especially since the mistake was on their end. This has been the worst customer experience I have ever had with Amazon. ... show more
