    • Produdct description says it has English subtitles but none are available.
I received the box set and it is very nice, DVDs are separated in the plastic sleeves, not stacked. I played one show from Season one (Revenge) and the picture quality is very good and the sound is as well but I am hard of hearing and need subtitles. The disc menu only showed "Play all" or "Episode" list. No language or captioning choices. I tried using the caption button on my player but got nothing. The TV settings showed no CC signal being received. Box description does not indicate SDH or CC, nor do the discs. If there is CC hidden on the discs my multi region player will not play it as it has only an HDMI output and HDMI cables do not carry the CC signal. Maybe if there was an analog output I could have tried hooking that up but unfortunately it is not available on my player. I am very disappointed as I have been trying to find the 6th and 7th seasons of AHP with English subtitles. Even though I have seasons 1 - 5 I was willing to go for the whole collection as long as it had subtitles, alas this one does not. I also have been looking to get the AH Hour seasons but see that even in Region 2 they only have German or Italian subtitles and language. Amazing that a US show is not available in the US, I guess Universal can't be bothered. ... show more

What can I say! This is an absolute TREASURE for any Hitchcock fan! Every single episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents is a huge treat for those who are fascinated with mystery, witty dark humor and the macabre. I live in the U.S and had to order it from the U.K. You MUST have a region free player for this to work in the U.S as it only contains European coding. I watch one disk a week and I am just in awe at what a master storyteller Hitchcock was!!! ... show more

This review is for the UK set of Alfred Hitchcock Presents, which I purchased through Rarewaves. The set is very impressive, as no such set was ever released in the United States. As stated in product description, it includes all 7 seasons of Hitchcock's half-hour show. The set even includes some episodes that are currently not streaming on Peacock. If there is one small drawback, it is that the set does not have SDH or any kind of subtitles. For some it won't matter, for some it might. Nevertheless the episodes look and sound great considering they are over 50 years old. ... show more

The DVD boxset arrived in time for Christmas, and considering the time of year and the delays brought about by Covid, it arrived in excellent time. This is a boxset worth buying if you are into short horror tales and suspense stories. Excellent entertainment to be had.

Dvd arrived 5 days early and was in mint condition! I love Alfred Hitchcock, and have seen some of these shows. I wanted to add this to my collection. It plays on my multi-region player, and I can't wait to watch it!
