    • Pretty solid smart bulbs. Only wish manufacturer would include skills for use with Alexa.

First off, these need either a compatible Alexa hub like an Echo/Show/etc. or your phone with the Smart Life app. Uncertain if there are other compatible hubs, but I believe it said it is not compatible with Google. The bulbs have a little bit of a short range my Amazon Show is at one side of the house and it wasn't able to see one of the bulbs probably because of all of the walls and twists and turns required between them. The bulbs that were closer definitely added easily. "Alexa, detect devices." or "Alexa, find devices." and bam, "Detected, Light 1," "Light 2," etc. Then just telling Alexa to rename the bulbs and add them to different groups, fairly straightforward and easy to do. Really flexible, not only do these light bulbs do the various white temperatures, they have RGB that really pops. And you can easily tell Alexa to dim them from 100% to 1%. I like how you can power these off and they remember to stay paired with the hub instead of some which seem to reset to pairing mode when they are turned off and then on. Thus far, I am fairly happy with these. The only sad thing is I don't think you can do anything fancy with them through Alexa, like rainbow lighting etc. Hopefully the manufacturer will make some skills for Alexa so that we can do such things. ... show more

I am reviewing B0FNWCZSTF "LUXFACT Alexa Light Bulbs 60W Equivalent, Smart Light Bulbs Directly Works with Alexa, RGBCW Color Changing Light Bulb, 90+CRI, A19 E26 Bluetooth Light Bulb, No WiFi Required, 9W 800LM, 4 Pack". These were the easiest smart bulbs I've used so far. The instructions say you can set them up through the Smart Life app, the Tuya app, or directly through Alexa. I use Tuya for a lot of my smart home functionality, so I went that route. I did not realize that "no wifi required" meant no wifi period. These lights connect through Bluetooth only. In the Tuya app, it would only let 2 bluetooth connections be active at a time. So it would show all 4 lights, but only 2 had on/off buttons and other controls. I could click on one of the inactive ones, and it would connect -- at the expense of one of the others. In addition, they did not "flow" from the Tuya app into Alexa like all of my Wifi devices in the Tuya app. So I deleted all of the bulbs from the app and figured I would try connecting directly through Alexa. I put them back into pairing mode, told Alexa to find new devices, and within about 2 minutes, all 4 lights were set up and functional. It was so fast and so easy. The colors are good and the whites are great -- so bright and crisp, or warm and cozy. Under $20 for a 4 pack seems like a bargain. ... show more

These smart bulbs are great! I love that they connect directly through Alexa without needing Wi-Fi — that alone makes setup ridiculously easy. I had them paired and working in just a couple of minutes. The colors are bright and vibrant, and they fill the whole lamp shade with whatever mood I’m going for. The white tones look clean and natural, and the RGB colors are fun and surprisingly bright (the red and blue especially pop!). They respond quickly to voice commands, and I haven’t had any glitches with them dropping connection. It’s a solid 4-pack of bulbs, great quality, and super convenient if you want smart lighting without dealing with another app or router. I’m really happy with them so far. ... show more

These do pair well in the light. Quality is both bright and and wide ranged in terms of the colors that you can get out of them. They're one limitation is that they're Bluetooth only and will lose connection if the device that connects through is decent ways away. The "No WiFi Required" feature is a game-changer. Setup was incredibly simple! I just screwed them in and paired them directly to my Alexa devices via Bluetooth in seconds. No hub, no frustrating app downloads, and no dealing with 2.4GHz network issues. The color and brightness are fantastic. The RGB color-changing is vibrant, and the white light (CW) is crisp and bright, perfect for daily use. The 90+ CRI really makes colors in the room pop. Being able to dim them and change colors using just my voice is so convenient. If you are looking for smart bulbs that work flawlessly with Alexa right out of the box, are super easy to set up, and don't require WiFi, look no further. This 4-pack is an outstanding value.     • Beware the connecting mode which is bright flashing

So it doesn't directly work Alexa app as suggested. There is 2 possible app choices that that you first have to connect with the bulb before connecting the skill to the Alexa app. It is good set of 4 bulbs that doesn't need a hub in order to function which is nice. The good thing is I already had the tuya app for a different device so connecting the bulb to the tuya app was simple and I was able to do without having to create an account. I do not like the connecting mode though, it's the bulb flashing quickly at 100% brightness which is a little too excessive. But other than the set up, once it's connected, it functions well even with just the switch. It retains the previous mode so I can set it to a certain white hue and brightness and use the switch or Alexa to control the bulbs! ... show more
