It comes in a good sturdy box, and it is metal. The cover for the box spring is very easy to put on. For me, who is alone, it took getting extra help to assemble. The first issue was one of the holes was not evenly lined up, and not properly drilled out for the threading of the bolt. The nuts are very small and the open ended tool provided was too big for the nuts. Thankfully, my Dad who is a mechanic had a large collection of torch wrench adapters and we got it assembled in no time. I had, who grew up doing my own assembly stuff, struggled for almost 3 hours alone, so get help! I look forward to using these. I bought two for my king sized bed, and they are perfect for the frame.

The frame is sturdy no doubt. But, they need to rethink the way they weld the joints to the members. Issue number one is that the welds are very poor. They are not securely bonded to the metal. In the third photo, it's hard to see but the weld sheared off. Not the best surface contact. The other issue is that the joints aren't bent at a perfect 90 degree angle. The joints then get welded on too wide. When the consumer tightens the bolt flush, it puts extra stress on the weld and the weld breaks. If you do decide to buy this, don't tighten the bolts flush or you'll be taking this product to your local welder for a proper weld job. 3 stars for sturdiness.

The spring box was true to size and that was great, but my honest opinion is that even tho I added my mattress on top I can still fell the metal from the spring box. It’s so hard and uncomfortable to sleep in. My neck was hurting due to the hardness of the metal. So I won’t rate it a 5 star review 🫤
