When you first plug this in, the numbers are BRIGHT, but lovely. I appreciate the dimmer switch. And you can set two different alarms, which is a nifty function. Alarm volume can also be adjusted, which is nice. Would make a nice gift for several occasions.

How is stating yes its loud and I set it onvthe lowest level. It has 3 levels can’t imagine how loud will be the 3rd! After returning 2 different alarm clocks this one was the one! My daughter wanted a traditional alarm clock but with cute shapes! And what I saw was more training sleeping alarms. This one is great! I chose the multi color one and you can select a single color or rainbow. And the same for the nightlight it’s cool! And let me tell you is not only for kids, I’m even considering buying one for my room too when my old ihome will decide to stop operating! Different sounds will be great choice since it’s the traditional beep, beep sound something softer would be nicer! ... show more

This product is very cheap and misleading. The battery just "saves the time" that you set, will not run as a back up. It requires constant power from an outlet to display the time or light up. Also, the sent an old USB cord, when the clock requires a USB-C charger. So fail all around. Spend $10 bucks more and get something that works! ... show more

I bought 3, one for me, one for my 24yo son and one for my 23yo son. All 3 are glitchy. Mine has a rattle inside and changes color if it’s barely knocked or tilted forward or back. My 24yo’s time color changer doesn’t work at all. My 23yo’s dials do not turn. The good parts- they keep time, they are easy to see, when the colors work they are so pretty! I had mine on the highest brightness for the top bar and for the time, and when I went to bed last night, it actually lit my room pretty well, so I’ve turned those down. My 23yo loved it super bright, he has it set to slowly color change pastel and said it was a great calming light show to fall asleep to. My 24yo is saddened but content with dim white numbers. None of us tried to use it as a charger or anything. I’m not returning, because that makes me very uncomfortable and anxious, so we will keep these, and hope they last a long time. ... show more

There have been some complaints that folks cannot figure out how to set the time and the instructions are bad. I apologize to those who couldn't do it, but it is easy and the instructions are spot on. you have to read them. This thing did exactly what I wanted, with my old eyes. It is bright and easy to read from any distance. I have it cycling colors for the moment, but may stop that. It is a bit distracting. For a very affordable clock (I just cannot use the word cheap as it doesn't seem to be cheaply made) I would recommend to anyone. ... show more
