First time trying any of the "flickering" candles. These come with a remote that allows you to set how long you want them to run. Once set, they will come on at the same time every day and run for the hours selected. Controller also allows you to change the intensity of theblight from these candle. I had an expensive 3 light battery operated lantern that no longer worked. It sits outside and battery connections were corroded. Took it apart and replaced the 3 lights with this set. Now it works better than new and I can light it with the remote instead of picking it up and fumbling with the switch on the bottom as before.
