These cushions make a large, comfortable difference in the support for my furniture and I am very pleased with their performance. Can they be seen underneath the regular cushions? Yes, if one is looking for them (so far no visitors have noticed them until I pointed them out). Does it bother me? No, not at all. The seat improvement is worth it. One inch cushions may have been less noticeable but am glad I went with the 2" for the additional support. Used this foam to cover the top part of my desk around my studio monitors. Totally nuked early reflections on the top end of the spectrum. Not thick enough to do much below 1000hz or whatever, but you can't add 8 inches of foam to your desk and keep your setup practical. It was easy to cut and shape as needed. My room is treated, but this was the missing link that helped clean up those hihats. For sure easier to mix the top end now. ... show more

I had been looking for a solution to raise the seat height of my very old couch or either replace my couch or the cushions for a while. I measured my coach and bought this and placed it underneath the cushions and underneath the coach cover and it is amazing. Now the coach seat height is actually comfortable to sit on once again like a new coach and it feels like a brand new coach. Needed foam for an amp I had in a rack case. This was the ticket! Thick,soft and able to cuddle the amp very well. The only down side is cutting. Scissors will cut it but it won’t be a nice clean cut. I seen someone mention an electric knife for cutting. I haven’t tried it but if you have one always worth a try. ... show more

I would recommend NOT to open this until needed. I don't know what type of wizardry was used to stuff this in the box but once I opened it, it exploded (expanded), filled the entire family room, and grew 50000x the size of the box and now it's just there until I get to use it.

Very sturdy and dense foam. I bought 5” piece and 2” piece for project. Color for both said charcoal. The colors are not even close to the same. Thicker piece was dark gray (what I consider charcoal colored) and 2” piece was definitely black. Quite expensive.
