  • Comfortable Chair that fits, But some issues, and poor customer service
Color: Blue Material Type: Faux Leather
-EDIT : Since purchase the base cushion itself has become flat and uncomfortable again. As a daily use chair and at the price point this is at I am extremely disappointed by how long this chairs cushion lasted before it failed. The chair I had previous to this lasted a year and a half before before it became uncomfortable and it was $400 cheaper. I Have removed stars and do not reccomend AKRacing for this now. My very first "Gamer Chair" was a first gen AK racing chair, I still have the roller-blade casters from that chair. Coming back to their chairs after a long long while and being relatively pleased that their comfort levels are still like that first chair. Almost. Pros: +I'm 6ft tall 200 lbs and this chair fits me great and the seat is comfortable. +Headrest and lumbar cushions are comfortable and easy to adjust. +The reclining feature is great and helps me to adjust my posture depending on how long I've been sitting. +No springs in the cold pressed foam is a major plus. +Wheels move around on carpet just fine, but also move around my make-shift chair pad quite well. Cons: -The armrests are not that great. I put some of my weight on the right one for support while I adjusted my posture and the front screw that mounts the top of the armrest to the swivel support has ripped itself through the plastic. Inspecting this, there is no locking nut or way to remove and replace the screw or put lock tight on it. I find this to be a very poor design decision. These screws should be changed out for bolts that have locknuts on the bottom, for something that is load bearing. -Armrests also don't quite have the vertical range of movement that fit my desk and the keyboard tray I have for it. I either have to lower the armrests ALL the way to then bend the keyboard tray just over the top of the armrests, or find some 2 inch pieces of wood to raise my whole desk up enough to make using the armrests possible / comfortable which is a bit of a trifle either way. -The TOP HALF of the chair is very stiff in material where my back / shoulders rest. So without the neck pillow in place, kind of uncomfortable to lean against the whole chair if the pillow starts to irritate you for any reason. Some softer padding would be useful here, especially around the shoulder area, and it doesn't need to be a lot.. a 0.25" layer would go a long way. -This chair does not "breathe" if you happen to have a very hot room / office. A fix for this could maybe be to include some vents in the back of the chair and the sides of the lower part of the chair to let some air flow in future designs. Overall 4/5 for experience using this chair for a couple weeks now. The armrest issue is EXTREMELY disappointing considering the price point of this chair, I expected way better build quality for the armrests.. something I would expect to see happen on a chair that costs about $400 less. Edit 6/15/2020: CUSTOMER SERVICE Or rather lack of it. Their customer service hasn't been terribly impressive when inquiring about getting a replacement armrest (because the whole thing unbolts), Initially I got a response within a day of my first inquiry, but now it has been SEVEN days and no reply or information about getting the armrest replaced. I am willing to accept this if there is a COVID-19 issue for them but until I hear otherwise this is just appalling way to handle customer inquiries. At this point I would not recommend this product. ... show more

  • Best chair I ever owned
Color: Red Material Type: Faux Leather
I am a data analyst so I spend 8 to 12 hours a day at my desk crunching numbers. So I know a comfortable chair. I have been working in some capacity at desks for some 30 years and have sat in perhaps a hundred different chairs, some crappy, some very expensive. This one by far is the most comfortable chair I have ever owned. The good: - I am 6'1" and weight 260lbs. This chair easily supports my size and weight with some room to spare. - The PU leather is of good quality seems like it should last a very long time with some care. - The foam making up the cushions is stiff yet conforms to my body well. - I like the lumbar and the neck pillows, they are comfortable and configure well to every position I seem to put the chair into. - Assembly was easy enough, but be ready to work, this thing is heavy. - I love the color, the red is very vibrant and the whites are super clean. The bads: Sadly, I do have some bad things to say. - First, as the attached picture attests, when I inspected the chair after removing from the packaging, I found a very small tear on the top of the headrest. I inspected the packaging and it was fine, so this tear occurred before the chair was packaged. I was(am) very disappointed, you buy a chair for this much money and you kind of hope you get to be the one to tear it up. Since I had waited so long to receive it, I had hauled it out to the country where I live and carried it upstairs, I decided to just live with the tear as it is in a place it will not get worse, it is just cosmetic at this point. - Second I have worked very hard to try to remove the "wobble". For as heavy as this chair is and well engineered I was hoping it would not wobble side to side and front to back. Might be asking too much, but there is a slight wobble. I have tightened the attachment bolts twice and they are currently tight, but the wobble is still there. Again something I can live with. All and all I would recommend this chair if you are willing to spend the coin to get it. I just downgraded my score for the tear, which Im sure is very very rare, and the slight wobble, which a lighter person probably would not cause. ... show more

  • Best office chair I've ever had
Color: Black Material Type: Faux Leather
I'm a software engineer and PC gamer and spend a lot of time in my office chair. I have a bad back from an injury about 11 years ago. Three herniated discs in my lower back, sciatica and muscle spasms have kept me from being truly comfortable in an office chair for years. I've had a few expensive chairs, but this is definitely the best one I've ever owned in terms of comfort. I'm 6 feet tall, weigh about 190 lbs and this chair feels like it could handle a much larger person than me. The full length chair back has a nice, comfortable headrest so I can sit perfectly straight and my back is fully supported. The lumbar pillow is just the right size, is adjustable so you can get the ergonomics set up perfectly. I honestly don't have much use for the detachable head pillow that comes with the chair, maybe if I reclined in the chair to take a nap or something. I can say that if you attach the head pillow through the "seatbelt" holes, it ends up being right at the height of your neck (at least for me), so it's comfortable but I just don't see myself using it much. The PU leather is a little stiff out of the box but after a few hours it starts breaking in and softens up nicely. The materials on the chair are excellent. Putting it together took about half an hour and the included instructions are some of the most well-written that I've seen on an "assemble it yourself" piece of furniture. The chair arrives in a heavy duty cardboard crate and was packaged well so nothing can get damaged. It even came with a pair of white cotton work gloves for you to wear while assembling it, which is a first for me. Over all I can highly recommend this chair to anyone who has lower back problems, sciatica etc. If you have pain after sitting in a chair for hours, this chair is an excellent investment in your back health. ... show more
