  • Most amazing unboxing experience and great keycap set!
This is by far one of the best surprises I have had in a long long time! I got the Portico 75 as an impulse buy during black friday (59.99$) even though I had a fully built Q1. Now, once it arrived, I lubed/filmed some AKKO POM brown switches, and threw on the MT3 keycaps that I already had on it. However, it felt very similar in aesthetics and feel to my Q1 as the MT3 keycaps have a very distinct sound signature, and everything felt similar to the Q1 (similar build with linear switches and MT3 keycaps). I longed to make the Portico different, and ordered the AKKO Black & Cyan keycaps because I loved owning the POM brown and rose red switches from the same company. I did not really expect to be surprised since I am very particular about the feel of the keycaps. I spend long hours coding everyday, and I have am very specific about how I want the keycaps to feel. I don't really care about the aesthetics, and prefer everything to be darker. These arrived, and from the moment I opened the Amazon box, it was once amazing surprise after another. 1. Unboxing: The unboxing experience is something else. I had GMK keycaps that cost almost 4 times this set, and also MT3 keycaps from Drop. However, this unboxing experience blew me away! It comes with a solid case, extra keycaps, and everything that you might possibly need to build out your keyboard. I cannot stress how satisfying the unboxing experience is! If only I could, I would order another set just for the unboxing experience, and how well everything is packaged! 2. Compatibility: I have the Portico75, which is a 75% keyboard, and the set. had everything that I would possibly need. Only thing I would say is I don't think this would fit the split keyboards and I wish AKKO would provide the split spacebars, since it's a real shame that you would not be able to use these because of that one reason. 3. Profile/Comfort: This is the ASA profile, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. Since I have been using the MT3 for about a year and a half, I expected that it would take me a few days/weeks to get used to the keys. However, it took me less than a couple of seconds (and I imagine it would be the same for anyone who touch types!) 4. Aesthetics: I don't think there's anything wrong with the aesthetics. The legend is perfect. I cannot find anything wrong. If I was to look with a magnifying glass and rulers, maybe a couple are just millimeters off center, but that's about it. I am not a backlight user, I prefer everything to be dark and lit by the light bar above the monitor, so I can't really comment about the backlighting. I don't think they are shine through. 5. Sound: Now, this is really subjective, and it depends on a variety of things like the build, the plate that you are using, the switches, type of switches, etc. But I can say one thing, on my build (tape mod + lubed & filmed switches), they sound amazing! They have a glassy, deep, marbly sound profile, and I am completely blown away. I am trying hard to find something wrong with the keycaps so I can go spending money again (like everyone in this hobby!!!), but I cannot. I don't think I need to order any more keycaps, and I definitely know where I might get my next set if I ever need one! If you are on the fence, and are just waiting to buy these keycaps, I would say they are worth every dollar you would spend on them, and more! If you are okay with the ASA profile, and want a good, well built and well packaged set of keycaps, look no further! Thanks AKKO for providing the enthusiasts with a keycap set that's priced 1/4th of the GMK keycaps, and look and feel amazing! ... show more

  • Wonderful texture, beautiful to look at, just a really great set of keycaps
Size: ASA Profile Color: Dracula Castle
This was my first time replacing my keycaps on my mechanical keyboard. I told myself for the longest time that the keys that came with my keyboard was just fine, and I didn't have to shell out a ton of extra money just for something like that... But then I saw the Akko Dracula's Castle keycaps and just had to have them. They looked awesome, I've been a fan of the book (and the Hammer Horror as well as Universal classic Dracula films) ever since I was little. The extra keycaps of candles and castles and bats and ghosts just ticked my goth heart, I had to have them. Originally I was taken aback at the price, but I figured it would be worth it, they just looked so cool. So I got them, and since I'd never replaced my keycaps before, it took my a bit of time to get used to it. I also kept accidentally putting some keys on upside down or backwards. Ooops! Thankfully, super easy to fix. After installing them, and then using them...WOW. Not only are they a good looking set of keycaps, they are a joy to type on. I had no idea that the texture would be so interesting. They don't feel like plastic keycaps, the way they textured them, they feel more like ceramic, if that makes sense. Very high quality feeling to them, just a joy to type on. Even the sound is better than the default ones I'd originally had on this...more deep and pleasant and less tinny and pingy. Very happy with my purchase. I also like that since there are so many unique icon based keycaps, other boards that use this exact same set of keys might not look the same as mine. And they might not use the same board, or the same switches (brown, though I might swap them out for blues at some point? I don't know. But I do like the brown switches. I'm not a gamer, though, I'm a writer, so the browns are perfect for typing away)... But these things combine make it so that this keyboard is unique to me. I like that. In a way, it's one of a kind. The picture is of my Dracula keyboard hanging out with my Edward Gorey illustrated Dracula ... show more

  • Nice to swap out your stock caps
Size: ASA Profile Color: Dracula Castle
I recently purchased this keycap set and I am extremely impressed with the quality. The keycaps are made of a high-quality, durable plastic that feels great to type on. The included keycap puller is also a nice touch, making it easy to switch out the keycaps. The colors are vibrant and add a nice pop of personality to my keyboard. Overall, I highly recommend this keycap set to anyone looking to add a bit of flair to their keyboard setup. ... show more

  • Some of the best keycaps under $100
Size: ASA Profile Color: Dracula Castle
These keycaps are fantastic. The quality of material is noticeable right when you open the package, and the layout compatibility is uncomparable. For about $60 you get keycaps that work with the following layouts: Full Size 1800 96% 75% 65% 60% 40% (non ortholinear) The only layouts that aren't supported are ortholinear (though you might be able to make something work) and split (no split spacebar here). 60% with arrows (the 64-key) also is not supported as there is no 2u shift. The colors are fantastic, the material feels very nice, and the cap profile is just incredibly comfortable to type on. In fact, it's so comfortable the only caps that I think are nicer are Drop's MT3 which cost double and don't come with as much layout variation without buying extra kits. This specific set, Dracula's Castle, also comes with custom novelites and two different colors worth of compatibility (crimson and black) for a lot of the keys to make your board look exactly the way you want. I'd highly recommend anything in ASA profile. The Cherry profile is good too, but not s comfortable for me to type on personally. ... show more
