This set of two pickleball paddles and four balls (2 indoor, 2 outdoor) is a good starter package for getting into pickleball. With the paddle weighing around 7oz it falls into the lightweight category. I found the tape on the handles to be on the slippery side. The paddles and balls carry the USPA seal on them. The outdoor balls were to regulation, but the indoor balls measured a little small at 72.2mm against a minimum of 73mm to be regulation. The indoors balls also barely seemed to hit the minimum bounce height. The carrying bag is nicely constructed with a padded interior and two mesh pockets--one on the outside of the bag, and one on the inside. The two paddles and four balls fit into the bag easily.

I got this set along with another pickelball set to play with friends and it was a learning curve once we examined the rules and watched a few tips on how to play from the internet. We then got going and was a bit rusty because some of us have not been quite in shape lately. Anyway, the rackets and balls are very lightweight and was appropriate for our age because the lighter the accessories the more staying power we can muster. It worked out well for us because we had so much fun fumbling all over the place.

Its no secret that pickle ball this THE game right now. These paddles plus balls is a great set for beginners. The paddles have a nice weight and an easy face to hit off of. Everything about it feels high waulity and there hasn't been much wear yet. The travel bag makes heading to courts even easier. Its everything you need!

I got this set of paddles so that my wife & I could start playing pickle ball together. Since we're both novices, I'm not really suited to make recommendations on the equipment since I really don't know if there is a benefit to fiberglass versus composite versus some other material. All I can say is that these appear to be decent paddles, lightweight and comfortable in your hand.

AKAWAV paddle: carbon faced paddle put some good spin on balls(top, under and slice) very light. Almost too light. Only downfall to this paddle is that for a two-handed player is that the handle is too short.

I am a novice to pickle ball and honestly don't know what's good vs bad. So I'm speaking from the perspective of just equipment to get my wife and I started. For this purpose it's great! I like the fact it's a full set that comes with both indoor/outdoor balls and a bag to hold everything which is nice for organization/transportation. The bag works, but it's not particularly functional for slinging over your shoulder or anything like that although it does have a strap where you could theoretically try. There are some pockets on the inside to help organize a few small things, but I haven't used it for anything other than holding the balls and rackets. Can't quite speak to durability, but it seems to be decent quality as much as I can tell. I'm sure once people get better they'll likely graduate to a better set/rackets as is with any hobby, but for beginners or people that play sparingly this has been a great set so far!

This is a well constructed paddle. The grip has stitching and by my measurement it is 4 3/16 inches around (=4.1875 inches). So agrees with the stated 4.2 inches. The grip has a good, secure feel. The hitting surface is very smooth. A plastic head protector wraps securely around the hitting surface. The carry bag is also made well with either polyester or nylon. This all comes in a nice AKAWAV branded box.
