I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of these drapes. They're gorgeous and well constructed. I draped them across a ten foot photography kit rod. I could not see through them as long as the drapes were receiving direct light. In a darkly lit room, at ten feet, I placed my brown partition behind the drapes which eliminated the sheerness of the material. After reducing the size of the photography kit to six feet, the two drapes were more than enough for me to have a beautiful background that wasn't see-through; moreover, I couldn't see anything on the other side of the drapes, even in dimmed light (backlighting). I recommend ironing the drapes if you plan to use one set for a longer stretch of rod. If you use two sets of drapes to cover a nine to ten foot rod you'll be in great shape and you won't have to iron the material. Lastly, the drapes are only partially sheer and thus the reason the seller suggests ordering more than one set of drapes for a longer rod length. The curtains are somewhat heavy, so your photography rod kit should be sturdy. A cheaply made kit could be a problem for drapes of this weight and quality. ... show more
