I missed a number of old games and consoles and this thing really does fill in the gaps. With Rocknix installed, I can play everything from GB to PS1. Where it really shines and does great is handling DS games. I've yet to encounter anything it can't play. Cannot comment on how well it runs anything out of the box because I threw Rocknix on an SD card immediately. I avg around 4 1/2 hours of gaming per charge. your mileage may vary, but this is what most folks on Rocknix are getting without it being overclocked. This includes DS, PS1, N64, and some DC gaming. I play a LOT of GB Advance titles and battery life is probably like double of what the actual GBA can do. My only, biggest gripe, is it can't do 3DS titles. This doesn't reflect poorly on the RG DS. It's just not capable of handling that kind of load. That said, the next step up (with 2 screens) that CAN play those, can also play much more demanding titles, but also cost 6 times more. Since I'm focused more on older games, this thing just fits the role great. Size and weight wise, it's what I was looking for. A DS replacement for 1/3 the cost.

Needs to be understood that this device will not play 3DS games It will however run most of the DS library pretty easy out of the box some games you might have to adjust settings for. I've been using it for a couple of months and received my unit well after many software updates were added to the system but have YouTube as a reference for a lot of the issues with the early days of this device. I'm a collector of handheld players like this so I was keen to pick it up It can run things fairly well up to Dreamcast but I would suggest taking advantage of the dual screens and sticking to DS games however I have found a good use of playing single screen RPGs and being able to have a guide on the other screen to reference while playing. I have not jumped into purchasing some of the more powerful dual screen Android devices but if you're looking for something that won't bring the bank and can deliver playing DS games and a couple other consoles as a bonus I do recommend this device.

I got my first Nintendo DS while I was in the hospital for 3rd and 4th degree burns. I was laid up for a whole month and it really helped me through it. I still have it today, albeit in a VERY used condition. It still works, but I wanted something that could do more, and this was perfect. Aside from being on of very few dual screen devices on the market, it’s an excellent hybrid Linux/Android system that’ll play everything up to PS1 without trouble. Just be sure to get a case for it, because it’s a fair bit larger than two out three of the original Nintendo DS’s, and as such I wouldn’t really call it a pocket-friendly device.

I mean, it works. Dont expect to run an of the 3DS games even though it has those emulators installed. But for DS and lighter? Runs great. The build quality is pretty good, and for the price point its alright. Buying it here is easy, and I have prime so I got it next day, but its not the best hardware inside. For that you want to visit the actual website but, honestly, id recommend. The big selling point for getting it here is fast delivery. But once again, dont expect the most powerful hardware version

Basically it's a old android phone does not support some of the latest games and struggles to run Emulators. And battery life is terrible. Would not recommend this device to one even with the new firmware update.

I am very happy with this. Keep in mind that it runs android but does not have Google play, which comes with a limiting factor as you search for workarounds, but for me it's perfect. It will play some 3ds games with only minor lag, so that's a plus as well. I advice installing Aurora Store so you can have some apps, but as Google Play services are not installed, some apps may not work as you intend unless you install other OS or programs.

Love this device, definitely a weekend project to get up and running how I personally wanted it to run my biggest issues with it is it gets hot quick and I haven't seen a fan thats compatible with the device, and with rocknix and android os it still takes a decent time to boot up.
