My teenage girls absolutely adore the little butter knife that came with this dish! It's very sturdy and will hold up to the whole family using the "knife". I love that it's a ceramic dish. Makes cleaning easy. Fits 2 skinny sticks of butter with no problems. As the lid is wood, the lid isn't really dishwasher friendly and I do wish there was a ledge on the inside so I can wipe the knife and not get butter on the silicone gasket the lid had to keep the butter dosh closed. Decent little butter dish I enjoy the indent for the butter knife so it isn't stuck in a drawer someone hidden and its a dedicated one so everyone doesn't use all of the butter knifes making it so there is none left.
