I've ordered 2 more as picnic table shelters. Delivery has been fast. The first replaces a vinyl garage that lasted 5 years until the terraced ground slipped under a snow load. This one has a better frame and steel is stronger than vinyl. The frame is great, good engineering and very nice welding. Yes, the roof material is thin, but the overlaps add longitudinal strength. The screw holes line up as well as the frame has been squared. I noted no mention of the sealing tape in the assembly drawings. It is necessary. Also missed, the overlaps should face away from the prevailing wind and the windward side should be higher for drainage. Think of the roofing as shingles. The ground anchors are smooth and shiny steel nails, no galvanizing, no ground gripping texture. That needs work. And yes, the instructions need more words. 5 stars and I bought more Note, I ordered 2 more on the 9th, they were shipped within hours and will arrive on the 13th. That's 4 days for processing and shipment from California to Washington state. That'll do.

We bought this carport over a year ago. I was skeptical when my husband proposed it. I thought that it would either be poor quality, or if it was high quality that it would surely be too heavy and awkward for us to put together. So when we were able to assemble it with just the two of us and his parents (neither of whom are very fit) in a single weekend, I was ready for it to fall apart. I have instead been blown away by the quality of this item. We live in one of the hottest regions of America that also gets a decent amount of rain and wind. This structure has stood up to a full year of punishment and seems as strong as the day we put it up. It has absolutely been worth every penny. I do recommend following their instructions exactly, even if you think you see a better way, as there are good reasons for why they are written the way they are written. We also bought a couple cans of spray-on weather proofing to put on the roof before we raised it up, as we reasoned that $50 more now, while the roof was easily accessible and perfectly clean, could save us a lot of heartache in the future. I can’t see the top of the roof now, so I have no idea how well that is working or if it was necessary. All I know is that it’s 5-10 degrees cooler under the shade, and I am so very grateful I let my husband persuade me to invest in this carport. Additionally, their customer service is amazing. I don’t want to give the exact details because I don’t want others to exploit their kindness, but we had a small issue and reached out to them and they solved it immediately, for free, and with compassion. It is so rare to find a company with values, but these guys are definitely one of the good ones.

Although this canopy is lightweight I am impressed with it's structural engineering. Understand that this is a $400 building and I believe you would be happy with it. Yes the steel, both the frame and roofing panels, are not heavy duty but acceptable for the price. I was happy to find that bolts are used to construct the frame instead of screws. This is a much stronger connection and the ability to disassemble without losing structural integrity if you need to take apart a section. Assembly is fairly straightforward though the instructions leave a bit to be desired, hence for the 4-star rating. Barely any descriptive instructions, only pictures, which works for most of the build but leaves room for interpretation as I found out. In fact some of the pictures are misleading which resulted in me having the side panels longer than supposed to be and leaving a lip on the edge that required me to screw down the overlap edge on the last panel. No huge deal but this led to me having to purchase additional screws because there are no extra provided with the package. I also recommend adding a bead of clear silicone caulk along each overlap of roofing if you want a true waterproof seal. The rubber tape provided will only stop so much leaking and depends on perfect placement on each panel. I'm glad I considered this before assembly. The ground anchors provided are basically useless. You need to provide your own source of anchoring if you will install in any windy area. I considered this as well and anchored to concrete blocks filled with concrete and spiral anchors drilled into the ground. The weakest connection is the base plates but if anchored to the ground sufficiently this shouldn't be a problem. Overall I'm happy with this canopy and is better than expected. Similar structures of higher quality would cost 10x more so I'm content for the price. Last note; directions state to assemble the entire roof structure and then lift to put on the legs. This was not an option for me as I assembled by myself. You will need several others to help if constructing like the directions advise. I completely assembled the frame and put on metal roofing last. This allowed me to construct by myself but will require ladder work. Also remember to have a flat, level surface to construct on if you want the canopy to shed water correctly.

It was easy to build but water proof my butt. This things leaks all over even after verifying it was built correctly. I’ll probably be throwing it away and getting something else. I can see why the price dropped from when I purchased it. Maybe it will be good for someone with more skill to build it. I am thinking it needs some kind of sealer between the metal pieces. That stripping it comes with is crap.

This carport has been a great addition to my property. The frame feels very sturdy and well-built, and once assembled and anchored properly, it provides excellent stability. The reinforced steel construction gives me confidence that it can handle different weather conditions. The metal roof offers great protection from sun, rain, and debris, helping keep my vehicle clean and protected. I also appreciate the waterproof roof design, which keeps everything underneath dry during rain. Assembly does take some effort, but the instructions are straightforward, and the finished structure looks clean and professional. The 10x15 size provides plenty of space for a vehicle while still leaving room to move around comfortably. One thing I really like is its versatility. If you need to store anything under this that absolutely needs to be kept dry, don't get this carport. Or if you do, prepare yourself to make a lot of modifications. Firstly, the washers included with the set that go on the roof screws are poor quality. They do not prevent water from seeping in. Second, the "weatherproof" tape also does not prevent water from seeping between the roof panels. If you happen to bend even slightly one of the roof panels, which is extremely easy to do, it's nearly impossible to get the panel back into shape to prevent water from seeping between the panels. Even panels that line up perfectly will allow water to seep between them. While the initial set up was relatively easy, this effort to make the roof NOT leak has been extremely frustrating. Don't buy this. Get a better product.

Be prepared to secure this down. It is a good carport but I wouldn't it "heavy" as described. It does sway even when secured to concrete with screws because the legs and frame are not that sturdy but carport is good for what you pay. Using for pontoon boat that won't fit in shop so useful for this. Secure it down also some, not a lot, of screw holes didn't line up. WORSE PART IS TAKING WRAP OFF TIN PANELS, it's an all day job itself. Get why its on but OMG it sucked.
