I set this up on the interior of my detached garage for an outdoor dog wash. I ran a PEX line inside the garage that connects outside to a water spigot for water supply, split the connection from 3/4” PEX to two 1/2” PEX lines for hot and cold to a shower and hand held sprayer. The power is run via a 50 amp nema cord and plug (this potentially voids the warranty according to the manufacturer). The setup works great as long as I reduce the water flow from the shower. It can’t keep up with a fullly on shower (if I recall 2.3 gpm), but good hot water and a reasonable flow for washing off sandy feet or dirty dogs with this setup. ... show more

Use it to heat baptistery water then working over a year doing a good job. Just had to make sure the pressure was up above its minimum. It does shut off when it’s supposed to have a good temperature control and it’s definitely something I would recommend.

Here is my 100% “gods honest” experience and i really do hope this helps people!! Sorry it’s a little long!… I decided to give the 18k evening tide a try in my home! After reading the owners manual it was simple enough to understand how to install it! (I must mention i am a handyman by trade) it took a few hours to read, pull wires, and run some plumbing. I was moving my hot water heater location from the basement to the utility room on the main floor, because otherwise it would not take nearly as long since its basically a plug and play unit!! I did have an issue… & looking back, i know my original unit was faulty out of the box… i had ordered it on cyber monday so honestly i am wondering if it was dropped in the mail… it worked for 2 weeks and crapped out… this is my first experience with tankless & no one i know has used them either… so i didn't know something was wrong initially… when it died i was sad to learn that their customer service line is only open 12-4 est & panicked a little lol…. But i found out you can email them any time and they will typically get back to you outside of that timeframe!!! They are a smaller company & so I totally understand!! Per their request I sent them a couple short videos along with some other information and i was issued a replacement!! Exactly 1 week from making initial contact with the company i had my replacement and swapped the units out. Which took abt 30 mins including cutting breakers off & on in the basement, I honestly could’ve probably coached my 10 year old through doing it!! Immediately i knew the replacement was a good unit and that the original never was!! (It goes to standby mode when the hot water is not running which makes total since!!! If you see an EF code when the water isn’t running it does not mean energy efficient lolol) Anyways, to wrap all of this all up, i am very pleased with this product and company!! I do a lot of home remodeling and honestly i will start putting these in houses that need new water heaters!! Im a single mom of 3 girls & we tend to go through some hot water… lolol this is seriously a game changer in our life!!! Everyone can shower back to back before bed and no one has to get stuck with a potentially cold one lololol its so compact and honestly not bad to look at!! *Just wanted to update* We are 3 months in with the new unit and i am beyond pleased!!! I can run a bath while the shower is running and theres never a shortage of hot water!! The only *flaw* i have found is if you only run the hot water momentarily (im talking seconds) then the unit beeps because there is no water flow to cool the jets which just fired up. Which is not actually a flaw, just how things work! So if you turn on the hot water let it run for at least 30 seconds lol i am in love with this purchase!! ... show more

    • I had a problem problem with one of the 4 heaters that was resolved by the distributor.

Three of the 4 units i purchased are in operation for the last 3 weeks I unit failed in the first week of operation, It failed to stay energized. We follower the troubleshooting guide however, no codes showed up on the board. The distributor SAIN Stores replaced the unit. The other 3 are all functioning well to this point. The electrician verified the unit that failed had 240 volts to both inputs and the flow at each out let was more than .75 GPM. ... show more

I purchased this product after our traditional “tank” water heater went out. I purchased another for our outdoor shop for the shower/sink. Overall a great buy, but if you’re on a well, like we are, make sure to put a 3m or similar filter in to gather sediment etc. (this is in addition to whole house filter and system…see pic). Also, it will not support 2 devices at one time on a well. So, you can’t run laundry and take a shower at the same time. Other than that, if you have the breaker space (2x 40amps) then I’d say run it! ... show more
