I got this hair dryer, after some curiosity about trying the new infrared light technology. My initial testing has been very positive. WEIGHT The hair dryer is really light, compared to traditional dryers. It's a noticeable difference. It also has a smaller footprint, with a shorter head span. NOISE This dryer is a notable improvement in noise level, and the nature of its noise. The overall volume is lower, again as compared to a traditional dryer. I can have a conversation with someone while using it. The noise is also less harsh. The only sound coming from this dryer is air pushing through the machine. There is no high-pitched motor noise. CONSTRUCTION The construction is done really well. All parts are solidly built, with an overall impression of quality . The feel of the handle is smooth and comfortable. And the weight of the machine is well-balanced, with the handle positioned to maneuver the machine freely. Magnetic attachments allow the diffuser and "concentrator" to snap into place in exactly the right position, with no real effort. The power cord is made of heavier material than my previous traditional dryers. This prevents twisting and kinking during storage. EASE OF USE For simple operation, there are just a couple of easy-to-use controls. The power switch is right on the handle where your fingers naturally end up. There is one button to adjust fan speed, and one other button to switch the air from hot to cold. If you just want to run the dryer with straightforward heat, at different fan speeds, that's all you need to know. There are additional controls to make the dryer match your hair type, and there is the ability to connect this dryer to a phone via the related app. For our use, we have not seen a need for these additional functions yet. EFFECTIVENESS The dryer works very well. It dries hair effectively and quickly, better than traditional dryers. It's still an open question whether this dryer causes less hair damage than traditional machines. I'll report back on that detail after more usage! CONCLUSION This is a terrific hair dryer -- a big difference in effectiveness, build quality, and ease of use over traditional dryers. As I await a longer-term assessment, my first response is to highly recommend it.

This machine is a one of a kind that I've never ever got to experience until I used this! I mean wow, I completely understand and justify the price point! I also own many very expensive hair dryers and hair systems from Shark, Dyson and more but this is my first Loreal Professional product I've ever used. From the unboxing experience and how well it was packaged to the first time I turned it on, to actually using it I was just quite literally blown away. No pun intended. Seriously. The interface and digital screen is crazy. it shows you everything from the speed to the heat plus is completely customizable in the simple to use app! it comes with the attachments that just snap right on and work insanely well! I was able to style and dry my hair exactly how I would in a professional salon! My sister is a hair stylist so I've been around and seen many devices and techinques but this dryer is the very first one that actually felt like it was doing salon quality blow outs and getting my hair safely heated without damage and made my hair silky feeling and looking for the entire day! wow. I just can't rave enough about this amazing blow dryer system!

This hair dryer is professional grade and equivalent to a Dyson hair dryer. I've been coloring my hair for over 40 years, since I was in my teens, so, yes, a long time. This dryer actually makes my hair a little shiny even though it's blonde and it's bleached. My hair looks healthier and shinier since using this. It's quieter than a normal dryer, but isn't exactly what I'd call quiet, it has a high pitched sound. I have a layered bob and this dryer dries my hair in half the time. My hair tends to frizz and I have no frizz with this dryer. It comes with two attachments, a concentrator nozzle and a diffuser, I like the concentrator nozzle. It also has an app you can put on your phone that tells you when to clean the filters among other things, but I haven't used that yet, I just rather look at the filter myself; there's a filter in the normal location and then there's a filter at the bottom where the cord comes out. I'm very pleased with this dryer but I will admit it's a little expensive but not really much different than a Dyson.

I have used several red light devices and when I saw this red light blow dryer I was curious to see how it would work on my hair. I was definitely blown away how fast my hair dried and my natural curly hair was shiny and looked great too. I was also surprised that there is an app to download for maximum effect with this dryer and it has a digital display. It also has smart technology to let you know when to clean the filter. This is definitely a higher end dryer that dries hair faster without damaging your hair.

This hair dryer is wonderful. Way better than expected. It's easy to use it and it's lighter than expected which I like a lot - my hands don't get tired when I'm holding it. It's not as loud as my older hair dryer is but it's powerful and dries my hair quickly. I'm very pleased with it.
