The scent is very, very perfumey and cloying. And it leaves a film of spray on my floor. I'm amazed almost no other reviews mention the slick residue left on the floors by using this product. Is there a secret I'm missing, other than laying out towels for three feet underneath it?

This scent seems a bit masculine, so I like is as a bachelor. Notwithstanding the label, it's not flowery. But it's clearly lavender based. This is the nastiest smelling air freshener I have ever encountered. Does not remotely smell like lavender. And the worst part about it is that it stays in the air for an exceedingly long time,which might be a plus if it smelled nice.

We've settled on the Air Wick Freshmatic Spray system as the most reliable and efficient way to keep a basement office smelling fresh. It's not a musty or damp space, just one that gets less circulation than the rest of our house. We usually set the 'volume' adjustment to maximum level, and the apparatus then sprays intermittently on the power of two AA batteries. At the maximum setting, we get about a month of aroma from a single can. Others have commented on this particular aroma. For my nose and tastes, it's a pleasant smell of the kind you might associate with a professional office (one reviewer has mentioned a lawyer's office). It's a bit more on the 'flowery' side than some of the 'cottony white' or 'clean sheets' aromas, which is what my wife and I prefer. My wife says she experiences the aroma as 'sour', which sounds a little harsh to me. I give the system itself a 5 and will go with a 4 for this review in light of the less-than-choice aroma. ... show more

Air Wick Pure Freshmatic is very good, I have 3 Automatic Sprayers throughout the house and these keep everyone smelling good things. The 30 minute auto spray setting lasts a month and uses two AA batteries. If needed the auto sprayer has a manual spray when you need a little extra. This 2-pack of Air Wick refills are a great value. Normally, a single refill is priced about $5 each. I have tried different scents, and have liked each I have chosen. The lavender is a good choice for a bedroom, to help rest and sleep. The clean linen scent is good for bathrooms, in my opinion.
