Love these things. I opted not to get the onboard air and just ran lines for both bags to a homemade bracket off the bottom of the back bumper. I installed them on a '99 F250 Super Duty 4x4 and have only really given them a workout once. I put 3000 lbs in the bed of the truck, aired up each bag to 60 psi and if you couldn't see the concrete blocks peaking up over the bed sides you wouldn't know anything was in there. On the drive home it felt like it was empty. It actually rode a little nicer than empty. Couldn't be happier with the results. No more driving around with a load on with the headlights pointing up in the air, rear end swaying all over the place on bumps, locking up the front brakes when stopping short. These keep the truck straight and level going down the road and it handles like it had that weight on there from the factory. Added bonus is you don't need to destroy your back any more by adding extra springs that don't give an inch when there's no load. Just let out the air and you're back to a factory riding truck. Can't wait to see how they handle the big trailer. I don't think I'll be disappointed. One thing of note, the upper bracket that mounts to the frame will not completely clear the recess that's there on the Ford frames. I had to take the spacers they provided for the Mopar applications and grind one to a taper for the part of each bracket that lands on the radius of that recess. I tried installing one without this and the thing had so much spring to it, it snapped the mounting bolt before I could torque it down all the way to spec. Installed the homemade taper spacers and it worked fine after that. As with most stuff that's universal fit, it often takes a little fabrication/modificaiton work to make the install happen. You have to drill holes in the frame and for my application you have to modify a couple spacers on the bench grinder. If you want something that just bolts on to the existing truck hardware, spend the extra coin and get the one that's specific to your application. Otherwise this setup is money and I wouldn't hesitate to max out its advertised capacity now that I've seen it in action. These will go on every truck I own from here on out now that I've seen how well they work. ... show more

I was tecently hauling a 1000lb load of feed for my cattle. Apparently one of these bags had dry rotted and I lost the rear drivers side bag. I contacted customer service, left my information pertaining the purchase. A week or so later not one but two replacement bags were shipped to my home. Ok to clarify, I love the product, it does have some issues I am less the happy with. 1. Had to drill my frame to make this work, not a big deal I am capable and can do what needs to be done, some however are not capable nor have the tools to take care of any oh crap moments that may arise, that being said if you don't plan, then your plan is to fail. 2. My suggestion to the manufacturer of this product is add a few extra bolts I was short 4 bolts by the hole count on the bracket, I had my own to use but if you have your truck all taken apart and no other means of travel is available your hung. Plus needed some shims for the variance in the frame to bracket, once again had washers that worked but once again could use a few extra. 3. The T connector is Junk, an upgrade up front is needed. 4. The push pins to the needle valves on the release valve for the two side adjustments had leaks due to the pins so I removed them and cured that issue, will eventually take a file and shorten them hope that resolves the issue think they were just to long and pushed down on the valves. The swivel 90 deg. air inlet for the air bags are an odd size the manufacturer needs to state the size so you can buy a replacement just in case. Sorry I didn't take time to mic. them at the time I installed everything I just wanted to get my truck back on the road. I can't think of anything else, I bought 2 different air connections sets for just in case replacement of and for any issues. Always plan once again. First time ever installing air bags on a vehicle. The online video makes it look easy but in reality it was not that easy. The first problem I had was that I have a 5th wheel hitch installed. I missed the part on line to say I needed kit so in so if I have a 5th wheel hitch. Reason being it requires a special top bracket. I got the kit in and took out what seem like a very lot of parts. Studied the manual over and over and realized I needed that special bracket. Contacted company and they confirmed it. Well I had to buy that separate which if I had gotten the right kit to start with I would not have had to do this. The installation manual could have had a little more info and maybe pictures to help a little more but it worked out okay. Had to cut the excess material from the 4 u bolts from each side that hold the springs to axle so it would not be in the way of the air bag bottom bracket. This was no easy task. If I had to install another set of air bags it would go much easier knowing what I know now. Like anything when you do something for the first time it is always harder. I used the air bags July 4th week when I pulled our camper to beach. When we take the camper like that I also have a golf cart that I put in back of truck. So the cart and camper adds about 8000 more pounds to my truck. I was very pleased this time around with air bags installed. Made a world of difference in handling of the truck. Stopping seem to be better as well. Over all I am very pleased with the product and highly recommend them. ... show more
