Any laser engraver/cutter can develop an ash coating that can interfere with your laser. The constant airflow reduces the need for cleaning. this unit is virtually identical to several other models but at a better price point.

Nice air pump. I am using it for a laser assist air pump and it's working better than the one that came with the laser. At first when I turned it on I didn't think it was pushing enough air, but after I hooked up the air line it was working great. Runs pretty quiet.

I'm using this pump with a CNC / Laser combination. It moves a lot of air very effectively and works great even now. The problem is that this is a small CNC and it's in my home office. When I got this you could barely tell it was running it was so quiet. I had a long job that was running and before the job finished it was screaming loud. I'm not sure what happened or if it is on the track to have a very short life but it's barely usable in a household environment.
