I replaced this with an aquabot rover I had for 5 years. The aquabot’s cord burnt into at the end where it plugged into the power box, making it impossible to repair. The cord itself cost as much as a new rover. I wanted a cordless rover this time, as the cord on the aquabot constantly tangled up, and was constantly having to be un tangled in the water. Prior to that, I had a vac that used the pump to work, and the hose was always having to be un tangled, as it was always twisting up. I looked at several, and came across this aiper, which I heard was a grear brand, on an amazon lightening deal, $100.00 off. I received it, and was surprised to find an actual owner’s manual, extra wheels, and the robot seemed to be of great quality. I charged it up, put it into my pool, and it started going. It cleaned the entire pool in less than the 90 minutes it remains charged. When it was finished, it parked itself at the side of the pool, and I lifted it out with the hook that was included that goes into your pole for your skimmer net and brush. It was amazing to watch it work. Clean up was easy, no filter bags to struggle with and clean, just pop off the bottom, remove the filter, and hose the filter and the container out. Worked great for two months then stopped working. Terrible customer service, supposed to be able to return in 90 days and they said the window had closed after only 30! Tried to get help on chat and was transfered 4 different times only to continue to be asked to wait two minutes. Very disappointed! Would never purchase from this company again!!! ... show more

I got rid of all those obnoxious pool return hoses and replaced it with this little underwater suction champion! It fun to charge him up and watch him go. The Seagull (we call him Scuba Steve) saves me time with cleaning the pool and he does an admirable job in the 2.5 hours that he scoots around the pool. He only picks up debris on the bottom of the pool, it is not a side or surface level cleaner. It gets small leaves, grass clippings, and tiny rock erosion from our rock features that falls to the bottom of the pool. I do have a very small slope in my in ground pool and he does just fine. It came with two replacement wheels, a wall outlet charger and a plastic retriever hook that can be attached to a standard pool cleaning pole. ... show more

    • Love this little vacuum, stopped working but supportA+
I purchased this in April in prep for swim season. Once we opened the pool, I put this little guy to work. It did a GREAT job. Easy to set up out of the box, cleaned up every bit of dirt from the pool, easy to retrieve, my pool has never been cleaner!! Fast forward 7 weeks and one day it just quits working. I gave it a day to see if it just needed a minute to reset (sometimes this is the best fix, right?). Put it back in the pool, no movement. So I reached out to customer service. VERY RESPONSIVE, they asked for a video, I sent it, they offered to send me a replacement after I ship back my defective machine. This is awesome because I’m beyond 90 days from purchase! I gave this 4 stars for the hassle, when working it is a 5 star product. Customer service also 5 star, but the fact is a product should not quit after 7 weeks of normal use! They think it’s a motor issue, I don’t know if I just got a bad machine or if this is a more widespread problem, but without the issue I would give it 5+ stars as it really is a drop and go solution to keep your pool clean. The media could not be loaded. To start I didn’t cover my pool properly and am surrounded by trees so….I had a vacuum that uses the hose that connects to the outlet side(not sure if that’s what it’s called) and it kept stopping and after finally getting to my breaking point broke down and bought this. I knew it would not take care of it first go around and charging it and throwing it in is so simple so I did it a few times. My pool is back to normal now!!! I can’t express how easy it is with trees all around I throw it in after work and charge it before bed for the next day. I really love it and hope it last a long time. If your on the fence just do it just keep in mind it’s not a miracle worker lol ... show more

    • Suction power not great and definitely not impressed with the removal hook
The suction power is not great. The vacuum seems to get “lost” while cleaning. After using removal from the water without spilling some of the vacuumed contents is almost impossible. I used a handful of times, and followed the removal instructions exactly and it slipped and fell on the ground face down, broke the two buckles off and damaged another fastener. Customer service is very slow in answering complaints or concerns. I am unable to find replacement parts online and the aiper website does not have a link to replacement parts that I can locate. I would gladly pay for replacement buckles so I could at least use the vacuum to clean what it will and circulate the water so my sand filter could assist in removing the fine sediment in the bottom of my pool. ... show more

Is this the top unit on the market ? no but it is a very good unit for a smaller pool. That being said lets get to the most important part. I used my unit for a while everything was great and one day after taking off charger and lowering in pool unit was not working ( that's the sad part) Then ( The impressive part) called Aiper their Customer Service was a pleasure to work with a few descriptions of the problem a No hassle replacement and no problems since.     • Worked for 3 weeks then stopped
Worked decently in my 15 foot steel wall pool, stopped working after three weeks. Charges, powers on, moves across the pool once, then stops and just sits there. I missed the return window by 2 weeks now I’m stuck with it. Waste of my money.
