I'm a new pool owner and a tech geek. I first looked into this device as I wanted a wireless pool cleaner since I don't like having cables around but initial reviews were not that good given the limitations due to the battery charge. So I went for a wired robot and bought the Dolphin Sigma based on reviews and the fact it was supposed to be the best on the market. After using the Dolphin twice I ended up returning it as the cable (supposedly tangle free) was a pain to manage as it is very stiff and would take me 10 minutes to properly fold after each use. I then decided to go with my original choice and bought this device. It is an amazing piece of tech: lightweight and well built. Knowing the limitations of battery operated devices will set your expectations right from the beginning. Rather than setting it up to do both floor and walls at the same time (risking it to run out of juice before finishing up the job), just run the floor first, recharge and do the walls/waterline. It has been running for over an hour and my pool floor is super clean. Still have a few pieces of dirt around the corners but we'll see if it gets those once it is done. When cleaning the floor, it goes up to the wall doing a 90 degrees as if it was about to climb the wall but then backs up. In doing so, it went on a step and got stuck for 20 seconds before finding its way by itself. Overall really happy with this robot and at this price (half the price of the Dolphin) it's well worth it. With the money I saved I ended up buying the Betta SE solar skimmer so I don't have to bother skimming with the net and don't have the kids complaining of bugs in the pool! 1 week update: so after a week of use I am still happy with the robot but found its drawbacks. I have a sun-shelf with 2 stairs. This thing can’t clean neither of them. When I start with the sun-shelf it will stay on it for a minute or so then roams on the stairs and gets stuck for a few minutes. It eventually finds its way to the floor of the pool but will not go back on the shelf or stairs. Overall still happy but a bit disappointed it is not smart enough to do that. ... show more

    • Stopped charging after month and a half

I ordered this in August, didn’t even inbox it and use it until September. Worked fine the first 4 times and would charge and clean OK. Today went to charge just as the manual says to, and the unit beeps non stop and won’t charge. I spent over $700 for a robot that broke in less than 2 months. What an artful product! Buyer beware and find a different companies cleaner. Tried to troubleshoot and only info I can find is that beeping may mean the driver is shot. How can the driver be shot in 4 uses and 1.5 months lifetime on a $700+ cleaner!!!??? ... show more

I purchased this pool cleaner last November and have been using it weekly since. I live in the south and never close the pool for the winter. Having used a number of different robot pool cleaners, this has been the best and I am totally satisfied with the performance of this unit

We loved the product initially. Cleaned the pool really well, good suction, long run time, easy to remove from pool and plug into charge. After a few months the dial became difficult to turn, and eventually became jammed after only 4 months of use. This is apparently a common problem with no fix from the manufacturer. The media could not be loaded. We really liked it when we just got it in late July for our pull. It worked as expected. Last week, it stopped working all together. I turned the control knob and it makes a beep and then nothing happens. Contacted customer support and wait for the response. If a product failed after 12 times of use, I am worried that this expensive machine would not last long. For some reason, it completely lost its charge in last a couple of days without even using. recharging it now because customer support wants a video to remote troubleshoot. - update: now it gets fully charged but shows response when turning the control knob (just uploaded the video). I have watched this unit several times in my pool and although I like it and it gets the job done, it seems to get stuck more than my last two. I watched it go to the same location 5-8 times in a row and just struggle there... wasting about 10 minutes of cleaning time for no reason, other than it is not programmed well, or as good as my older and less expensive units. I expected this one at twice the price and claims, to be much more awesome, or at least show a recognized cleaning pattern, but it hasn't shown a good pattern to me yet, although it does eventually clean my small pool in total (I think). ... show more

I plugged in the Cleaner today and a short time later smelled burning plastic. As I went out I saw the unit in flames and rushed to grab a fire extinguisher. The robot is usually charges next to the pump which is located on the outside of my house. Lucky I caught the fire before it could spread to my house and put it out. ... show more
