Aiper needs to redesign this one! This robot was designed for above ground pools. But it's instructions say that the pool floor must be perfectly flat and smooth for the best performance. Now what above ground pool have you ever seen has a perfectly flat and smooth floor??? What with all the feet making more new bumps with every step. It does do some work, it has cleaned quite a bit and my pool floor is quite clean now with a few patches that haven't been touched. Seeing as the floor cannot be perfectly flat and smooth, there's nothing I can do to make it better. Maybe the corner on the bottom should be curved instead of corners? Or maybe it's the wheels? Either way, it cost me $200 and can't perform to it's fullest extent because of the afore mentioned design flaw. I'll still keep it as it does do work, recharges fairly fast, and is very easy to use and clean. All it needs is to not get stuck is all. Maybe have a jet on the bottom to reposition the robot? Still a good buy for the price. It beats using the manual vacuum!!! Another Update: I just took the Seagull out of my pool. Noticed small particles being released from the water releases. Maybe put a filter mesh over them as well? The Seagull cleaned alot of leaf stems out of my pool though! And I like how I can use the hook to turn it off while still submerged! Update: Aiper has gone out of their way for my satisfaction! They've sent me the Seagull Plus as well as a handheld wireless pool vacuum, both for free. They told that my suggestions would be sent in as well. So I've changed my rating to five stars. Great company! ... show more

This guy really does a great job! I am impressed by how it picks up the algae. It also picks up leaves, small twigs, and hair. It runs for approx an hour. I have a 24ft round pool. I have had to run it a few times. It’s way better than hooking up a hose and vacuuming. It’s simple to use, just push a button and drop it in with the provided hook and your pole. It would work great for picking up leaves and such as the suction is great but it's kinda iffy for me. I'm personally thinking of returning it and getting a stick vacuum. It gets stuck every few seconds on the vinyl bottom of my pool where it creases. So I literally have to stand with it and keep hook on the pole to bump it forward for a bit. Plus it changes air flaps when stuck for a few seconds so it almost never gets the full pool. My intention of buying it was to set it in pool and let it clean bottom while I use my pole to clean floating stuff then when done pull it out so kids can get in. It also doesn't help that when I pull it up to come out it drops the stuff it just cleaned up right back into the pool. Some people say turning it off before pulling stops that but not for me. At this point I think I'd rather return it and use whatever stick vacuum I decide to get to do it myself so I know the whole pool is clean. When I opened this year I had dead algae that I broomed off filled an inch or 2 then drained and rinsed then refilled. Apparently not all the dead algae drained out because I see this vacuum kick it back up off the bottom when it goes in or out or changes direction. So it's not very helpful since that is currently what I need out. It may help more later in summer when the tree drops leaves in but then again so will the stick vacuum. Personally I wouldn't waste money on another robot one unless it comes with a GPS that you can set of the pool and see its track so I know it is covering every spot but that's just me. Might keep it and just never use it. Idk time will tell and if I can afford to just buy a stick or if I need the money from this purchase to buy a stick one. ... show more

Was hoping that this little guy would do the trick, but it doesn’t work well if your pool has an incline. Our pool has a slight incline on both sides toward the bottom, and the pool cleaner had a tough time with it. While it was able to climb up and reach the low points on the bottom of both sides, upon reversing and going back towards the deeper end, it gained too much speed causing it to “spin out” each time. It also will not climb walls or jump up and clean your stairs and steps (honestly, I wasn’t expecting it to do that given the price point but just something to keep in mind). Also note there is a video review posted here that indicates the box includes replacement brushes and wheels; I did not get either in my shipment. I contacted Aiper customer service via Amazon and they were super responsive and helpful. I was able to return my original item and their customer service agent was able to better match me with a product they offer that works much better for my pool (Aiper Scuba S1). I highly recommend this company as they stand behind their products and their customer service is excellent. ... show more
