  • Solid Work Horse Cleans Efficiently
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this pool vacuum to replace a vacuum from a different well-known and popular manufacturer which I’ve used for 6 years. My previous vacuum needed to be plugged in while running and had a long “umbilical cord” that ran from the power supply to the vacuum. I would have to remove my solar skimmer from the pool when running the vacuum because the cord would interfere with the skimmer. This Aiper Seagull Pro is cordless, which allows me to leave my solar pool skimmer in the pool while the vacuum is running. I definitely prefer this cordless vacuum, since it’s easier to store away without having to coil up the “umbilical cord” that’s an integral part of my previous vacuum. The vacuum needs to be charged before use. It took about 1-1/2 hours to charge the vacuum out of the box. The light ring around the dial on top of the unit flashes slowly while charging. The vacuum has three operating modes: “auto,” “floor” and “walls.” In auto mode, the vacuum first cleans the floor and then begins cleaning the walls after the unit has reached 50% charge. The vacuum runs for about 3 hours on a full charge. The cleaning mode is chosen by turning the dial on top of the vacuum. Without question, this pool vacuum does a much better job of cleaning my entire pool than my former vacuum. My previous vacuum would only clean about 80% of the floor and 40% of the walls of my pool, while this Aiper vacuum gets 100% of the floor and about 90% of the walls when in auto mode. The vacuum did not follow the pattern shown in the item description when cleaning the floor of my pool. It would sometimes go back and forth across the width and sometimes across the length. My pool is an odd shape with 7 sides, so this is possibly the reason it didn’t follow the pattern. The vacuum does follow the illustrated pattern when cleaning the walls, which ensures that the entire wall surface gets vacuumed. The waste basket in the vacuum is a decent size and is easy to remove, clean and replace. My previous vacuum had 2 separate waste bins which took a little bit more time to remove, clean and replace. I’m very pleased with this Aiper Seagull Pro. It appears to be very solidly built and looks to be a real work horse. ... show more

  • So close to being perfect!
We ordered this cleaner to take over for our original pool robot that we'd had for yearssss (RIP Ronald-- you served us so well). So far, we are very happy with our tough-looking replacement. The Aiper cordless robot has proven itself to be hardworking and durable. It does an excellent job of getting the gunk and funk not only from the pool floor, but from the walls as well! It's actually pretty cool to watch. (Technology these days... amiright??) The best part about it is that it's cOrDlEsS. Our other pool cleaner had a hose that had to be attached to one of the jets with the water cranked up in order to get enough power for good suction. Said hose also happened to be the part that we were having to replace sections of more and more frequently... so it's definitely a feature we don't miss. Working the Aiper cleaner is pretty simple to figure out, and it has a few modes to choose from. You can choose to do the floors, the walls, or both at the same time. It's a little heavy, but not so much that it's impossible to handle. Once it's in the water, the weight obviously doesn't matter, but when lugging it to the garage to charge and spend its spare time, it can feel a little cumbersome. The one and only thing that makes this cleaner less than perfect, is that it has a tendency to get stuck when cleaning the pool. It's not hung up on anything, it's just that it will go back and forth over the same area seemingly forever until we give it a little bump so it can move on to other areas. It doesn't always do this, but it can be a little annoying because the battery life doesn't last forever. We've got a relatively large-sized pool and we don't particularly want the battery to die before it's had a chance to clean the whole pool, or most of it, anyway. Other than that little hiccup, we've experienced nothing to complain about! So far our battle tank cleaner has done well at its job, and leaves our old cleaner in the dust (sorry Ronald). It's already starting to get cold where we live, so the time to close the pool down is just around the corner. We've only been able to use the new cleaner roughly 6 times or so, so I have no idea if it'll be tough enough to last us many years like our old cleaner did. Time will tell... ... show more

  • Exactly as described. Pleased with how well it works.
There is a lot to like about this. No hoses or cords to mess with. self powered. Charges quickly with the included charger. READ THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL. This is simple to use but there are a few things to know about the settings to make it work better for you. They give the dimensions in the description but it seems smaller even though it isn't. Very compact. The build quality leaves nothing to complain about. This is a pretty well thought out design. After a full charge I set it in the pool and let it do it's thing. It just works - really well. I didn't get 3 hours of run time as they claim it will do. At full power, I got just over 2.5 hours. Still .... not bad at all. The suction IS pretty strong and it will indeed climb a wall (mostly). It tends to drift off to one side or another towards the top of the wall but to be fair, that makes sense. Wouldn't want it to climb out of the pool even though I don't think it can. Because the suction is strong I needed to clean the filter twice on the first run. I noticed some streaks being left behind after the first hour and quickly determined the filter was full. I had not cleaned the pool for over 2 weels and it was extra dirty. On the second run the filter didn't need to be cleaned until it was done. I think this pool cleaner is great. Sure beats doing all of it manually. I can easily recommend this to anyone wanting to make their pool cleaning tasks easier. Want a cleaner pool the easy way? Give this a try. I'm quite pleased with this. ... show more
