This just barely fits in my watersport's backpack as I expected, so seems true to measurements. I refer to it as "somewhat-portable" in the title because while it is easy enough to lug around, it is a bit bulky just like it looks... I wouldn't want to carry it very far.

I liked that the stool/kneeler was already assembled and ready to go. I took it ouside; easy to tote and just the right size for me. I absolutely needed something to allow me to sit comfortably and attend to my roses. Plus, I needed something that I would allow me to get close to the ground for digging and planting without hurting my back. This heavy duty stool/kneeler is the real thing. Glad I purchased it.

I bought for tent camping and not gardening. I need a place to sit inside tent for rest or to assist in getting dressed. Also needed something large enough but not too large and sturdy and with heavy weight limit. I also wanted assistance in getting up off air mattress on the floor. In the end did not use the kneeled side but did use sitting side. Maybe on a future trip. Easy to set up and pack. I may also use for gardening.

My best friend of over 50 years is in to gardening. She doesn't mind the dirt, the heat, the humidity, or the insects. As we are both mature ladies, her gardening endeavors have been severely reduced in the last couple of years. She thought she may have to stop after this spring and summer. I sent her this gardening kneel/seat for a birthday present. She can now get back up from the garden without help from her husband or family members. Her granddaughter also uses it for a "ballet bar". Or when her stuffed animals or one of her dolls get a "hurt", it flips over and becomes a stretcher to get them to the "nurse" for a bandage. I swear. I couldn't make this up. 🤣
