This tiny 2‑key unit ended up being far more capable than I expected. The standout feature is the ability to program one key to cycle through up to five different layouts. That effectively multiplies the usefulness of such a small keypad. I set mine to scroll through two layouts, giving me six functional actions from a two‑button device, which is perfect for the mix of “always‑needed” and “occasional” shortcuts I rely on. The hardware itself is excellent. The body feels solid, the buttons pull straight off for easy reorientation, and the switches have a smooth, non‑clicky feel that still feels premium. The USB‑C port placement is smart, and the whole thing looks and feels like a well‑designed product. It also stores all settings directly on the device, so once you configure it, you can plug it into any computer and it remembers everything without needing software running in the background. The software experience is a mixed bag. The product page mentions downloading a DLL, but you absolutely don’t need to do that. Their web‑based configurator at sayodevice.com/device handles everything — firmware updates, key mapping, lighting, delays, macros — and it’s all done right in the browser with no installation required. It works well once you get used to it, and I love that it saves key combos directly to the device. The only downside is that even when set to English, some menus still show Chinese text. It’s decipherable with a little patience, but it definitely feels like the software didn’t get the same polish as the hardware. Once configured, though, the keypad performs flawlessly. Colors, fades, delays, and multi‑key actions all work exactly as expected. For quick macros, one‑key text entries, or gaming shortcuts, this little pad is extremely effective. Very easy to set up, very easy to use, and surprisingly versatile for something this small. I bought this little keypad specifically because my son is a huge fan of rhythm games and he kept telling me that a standard keyboard just was not cutting it for his intense sessions. Looking at the photo I included you can see it sitting right there on the desk next to his pink mouse while he is mid-match. It is a very small and sturdy device that stays put even when he is tapping away at high speeds. The colorful lights under the keys are a great touch and they add a nice glow to the desk setup that makes it feel much more like a professional gaming station rather than just a basic computer desk. He tested it out immediately and the results were perfect since the buttons are very responsive and did not lag or ghost during the most difficult parts of the songs. The setup process was straightforward enough once we got the software side of things figured out for the custom programming. It is quite funny to watch how much focus goes into just two little buttons but they really do make a massive difference for his accuracy and speed. I like that the build quality feels solid and the clicking sound is very satisfying without being overly loud or annoying to everyone else in the house. One thing to keep in mind is that the switches are tucked in tight so they stay secure during those heavy gaming moments. We had to do a bit of clicking around to get the macros exactly where he wanted them but now that it is set up he uses it every single time he launches his games.
