88-Key Digital Piano for Beginners with MIDI – Great Value
My son, who knows how to play keyboard, was really impressed with the build and overall quality of this piano. It feels well-made and is a great option for beginners, but it still has features that make it more versatile. The MIDI function is a huge plus, especially if you want to connect it for recording or learning. For everything it offers, I think it’s priced really well. This is a solid choice if you’re starting out or just want a nice digital piano at home. The design is beautiful and has a subtle, classic look that blends seamlessly into any home without drawing too much attention. ... show more

great for midi or beginner
We have been able to try four different AIJoy keyboards. This one is very basic and a little smaller than many of the others, at 49.5" long. It assembles in about 30 minutes and the material is your average composite plywoods. The hardware is better than average. We plugged it in right out of the box and connected it to our iPhone as a midi keyboard. If you make music and are interested in a mini grand piano this is a great option that gives you a lot of dynamics that get picked up in midi software. Or if you just want to sit and play or learn, this is a good basic keyboard at a good value. The interface is basically an on button and for us the midi out with some other output options. Very basic at this price point. The keys are light and have the feel of a fully plastic synthesizer with some resistance. If you go up $100 you can really find a difference in the weight of the keys. Or if you go up another $200 the keys look and feel much more like piano keys. That said on this budget this little keyboard sounds great. We record a lot of original music using the AIJoy keyboards as our input and it makes such a big difference to play a piano, get a piano sound and then work with it in Ableton Note on our phone and Live on the mac. It does not come with a midi cable, but the one we show in the video we use to connect to the iPhone. Recently we tested the expensive keyboards at a chain store and realized how well we had done with the AIJoy instruments. Definitely recommend using your phone to record even if you are learning because you can play back and hear how you did then improve. The image with the green bars is a melody we came up with on this piano. ... show more

Way Better Than I Expected
The AiJoy Digital Piano really surprised me. I was expecting something more sub-par but decent to use for beginners, but this is something that can last a beginner to intermediate user for many years. It's actually well made and very durable and stable. It took me exactly 20 minutes to assemble this fully (and I tend to overanalyze instructions). The only misprint in the instructions is that at one point when you are placing the keyboard on the top, the instructions say it is a 'guitar,' but if that's the only complaint I can come up with, you know this is a very top quality product. After having reviewed literally over a thousand products just on Amazon alone, I tend to get very picky. If you want to take lessons, I would suggest getting a USB B Midi connection so you connect from the piano directly to your tablet, phone or laptop. While this does come with an app for rhythms and tone, getting something like Playground Sessions (created by music producer Quincy Jones) is great. They offer a variety of styles of learning like bootcamp for those that are more interested in learning songs over music theory. If you're interested in learning from the ground up with music theory, a program like Flowkey is your best best. If you've always wanted to learn how to play the piano but didn't want to invest in a huge piano, this is the most affordable way to do it. Or if someone you know has this dream, it's the perfect gift idea. It takes up barely any room being only 4 feet long and 1 foot deep. The only thing that's not included is a stool for sitting. ... show more

Great option for beginners
This is a really nice starter piano. The keys feel good — not too light, not too heavy — so it gives a more realistic playing experience. I love how clean and minimal it looks, especially in white. It fits perfectly into the space and doesn’t look bulky. The sound quality is solid, and having the pedals makes a big difference if you’re learning properly. It’s also nice that you can use headphones and practice without disturbing anyone. Overall, it’s a great choice if you’re starting out or want something simple but still high-quality and enjoyable to play. ... show more

Simple, Clean, and Beginner-Friendly
My daughter is playing this contemporary piece from memory. It’s imperfect, but she’s just having fun while trying out the piano! 😊 She was classically trained when she was a young child but stopped lessons and competitions after high school. Now, as a young adult in her 20's, she really misses playing. I got this because it’s compact so she’d have something to play when she visits. After trying it, she said it’s a really nice piano overall, especially for beginners. The sound quality is better than expected, and the Bluetooth/speaker feature is a nice bonus. She also liked how simple it is, no screens or distractions. Her main feedback was about the keys. Even though they’re weighted, they don’t feel quite as high quality, and she noticed that pressing too lightly sometimes doesn’t produce sound. It was easy to assemble and feels sturdy, though a bit top-heavy, so it’s best placed somewhere stable. Overall, she felt it was a great starter piano and said it deserves a solid 4 out of 5, but she admitted she might just be a little picky! ... show more
