The media could not be loaded. I haven't tested this out for my purposes yet. I bought it to tether my wallet to my body when I'm commuting, and running errands on my bike. However, the wallet I was using had garbage zippers and I'm in process to replace it. However, in putting this on and checking it out, it seems well designed and well executed. It feels hefty in hand. The locking carabiner is interesting. Smooth release and requires back side pressure to open. This seems like it will stay closed in theory, but not if you put it somewhere that it can get squeezed (like on your waistband, when you sit down - possibly compressing it). But, good for now. I also surprisingly like the appearance. This is the "black" version. Also, I didn't notice the little, hard point in the description, but this seems to be a glass breaker (or defense/prevention) feature, and... why not? Thoughtful to have. Other than that, the chain is quite long. It'll be noticeable and effective in getting my attention should it ever snake out of my pocket, unintentionally. Good stuff. Five stars.

I like the solidity of the chain and clasps. The main clasp requires 2 pressures in opposite directions to open. Great design and very long.

I'm assuming this is stainless steel but almost feels tungsten, it's heavy! It does however have a tungsten notch on the clasp that can be used for breaking a window. The clasps are mostly solid steel as well which is probably why it feels heavier than it looks and the larger end has a an interesting locking feature. The clasp will not open without pressing the backside lever allowing the carabiner clasp to release. If securing your wallet or keys is an issue, this will definitely get the job done. The "black" is more like a black chrome but with a brushed finish instead of chrome. I believe most would call it a gun metal color. Would definitely recommend this product but be prepared for the extra weight. The round clasp version might be slightly lighter if you're trying to cut the weight down a little.

Form follows function with this beefy clip and chain combo. The gunmetal color compliments the overall aesthetic, and the excellent workmanship and intelligent intergration of tungsten make it as handsome as it is heavy duty. The carabiner is lockable which provides an extra layer of security against it opening accidentally. It's also quite sturdy and can be unlocked quickly even with the added security measure. Look great, feel safe with the tungsten steel tapered nails. This thing is versatile and strong, and from the look of both the chain and the hardware, it should last a good, long while.

Ordered this to go with my wallet. I like having my wallet on a chain for peace of mind. The chain that came with my wallet is pretty flimsy, probably only for aesthetics. This chain is NOT just for aesthetics, it's a very solid, sturdy, well-made chain. The big carabiner has a safety lock that needs to be pressed in before it will open. It's in a convenient location, just on the other side of the carabiner, so you'll press it down naturally when opening. There's a discrete rivet on the top that can be used as a window breaker or package opener. The other end has a loop (depending on the type you order) that can clip onto your wallet. This chain is a bit long for my preference but not by much. I'm giving this 5 stars for quality.

This is a good-looking chain and would be suitable as a fashion accessory. I'm more of a practical than fashionable guy, however. I've used this for a variety of purposes. It secured a bottle opener to a cooler during a party -- openers tend to disappear without being tied down. I've clipped my camera to my belt so that it's not just the thin camera strap deterring grab-and-run thieves. I've also used this to clip to my dog's collar and the vehicle's headrest rod while riding in the car. This chain is very versatile and strong. It's smoothly finished and feels good to hold. I learned how handy this chain could be when I started using it.

I've been wanting a carabiner for a while now, and this is perfect! The chain is a good length, and the lock mechanism to keep it from accidentally opening is a huge plus. It has a good light heft to it and feels nice and sturdy. Easy to latch and unlatch onto belt loops, keys, wallet, etc. I also love the little notch for opening packages! Extremely convenient while not being Dangerously sharp to the touch (But still makes me feel safer having while walking the streets at night!) Good for daily use. Very happy with this.
